I haven't been able to find any Turnigy nano-techs that can really compare in size other than the round cells breaktru got that are never in stock. (No matter how long i have to wait, one of those things is going my upcoming tube mod, though.)

If your willing to tear a apart a 2S or 3S pack then you get a few more size options, but in general the nano's are a little more robust so they aren't going to be the ultra small size.

I'm with you on the 1200 that breaktru used....just an fyi if you weren't aware, if you create an account and put it in your wish list it will email you when it arrives if you don't want to backorder or they aren't allowing backorders.

Yeah, I'd really like to try the nano-techs, but tearing apart those 2S packs is a little scary to me. I try to keep my soldering/desoldering to the wires when it comes to lipos. I have a healthy fear of them exploding on me.

So far, so good on the new battery in my current mod. No "Check Battery" after waking up at all and after several minutes of vaping, no decrease in the battery display. Much better than before.

Thats good that you got it figured out, maybe just a bad cell....but $3.60 is about a half a pack of analogs so no biggy :D

I have never had a lipo catch fire or explode on the bench or charging....but crashing airplanes or intentionally puncturing a pack because it was swollen to the point I didn't dare put in my vehicle is a different story :D

Yeah, it's been a few hours now and all is well. I've been vaping like mad and have gone through about 2 mls of juice and the battery level is barely dented.

It may have been my fault on the first battery. I just remembered that I accidentally brushed the two wires together after I stripped them. I didn't think much of it at the time since it was just a quick touch, but I may have shorted it out. Oh well, at least I got extras :)

Now I just have to pull the board out again and resolder the down button I twisted off yesterday

I like the fine strand silicone shielded rc wire. Very flexible and durable.

Yeah, I saw you mention that in another thread. I'll have to look into it. I was just lazy and used 20awg solid wire for everything because my cheap stripper only does 20 and larger gauge. I didn't feel like carefully stripping the smaller wire with my wire cutters or knife. Guess I need to invest in a better tool for the job.

I got it all back together last night and finally got the Lexan painted, so if it's dry and dark enough when I get home. I'll finally be completely done. I ordered my aluminum tubes and PEX plugs (for end caps) today for the next mod. Now I'm searching Mouser and Digikey for the perfect switches :D
