I'm just curious if anyone else does this, or if I just have way too much time on my hands. I have several spreadsheets, in which I compare prices on specific items from about 6 vendors I use, or am likely to use.

I have one for delivery devices, such as pro tanks, carto tanks, etc. I have another for PVs, since I will be upgrading from my ego twists to something a bit better soon.

Does anyone else do this? I love the spreadsheets, because it is an easy way to keep track of which site to order from. It makes it a LOT easier, because usually I will buy 2-3 different things at a time, and without the spreadsheet it can be a pain remembering which item is which price.

Some vendors have some items cheaper than any others....but the rest of their items are more expensive. So even though a pro tank 2 might be $17 at one vendor, if the rest of the items I want are more expensive, it makes sense to order from the other vendors....because my overall total will be less expensive, know what I mean?

Does anyone else do this?

I have a running list of things I'm interested in, but don't spreadsheet "one time" or occasional items like a PV or adapter.

With juice, I DO use a spreadsheet, but while it lists prices, it's also just an easy place to keep track of what I LIKED.
Only juices I have already purchased. Things I haven't ordered yet are just on that list.

So I've got columns for vapor, flavor, and notes - full of reminders so I can go back and remember, "Oh, yeah - THAT's the RY4 that tasted like WD40!". Also for what options I chose on PG/VG.

Nah. I have a handful of go-to vendors for the specific items I might need. Batteries and what not, it's RTD. Liquids and DIY supplies, it's MBV and EcigExpress. Miscellaneous hardware (tanks, coils, adapters, Kanger stuff), it's Discount Vapers. Dekang liquids come from FastTech and until I can figure out their flavor profile, ADV's come from Johnson Creek.

Price is a consideration for me. But quality and customer service combined with price consideration means I get good value.

Yes. I have only done it twice. Once when I was first starting to find a single vendor for all I would need to keep me going at least one month. Then I found fasttech and just got what I needed there, lol.

Second time when I was about to DIY. That one included an estimated prorated per ml cost for all ingredients and shipping as well as a few odds and ends I wanted to order.

Other than those 2 orders that included quite a few different items, no I don't usually do it.

I guess I'm old school. When I'm interested in buying something I just just write down name and prices on a piece of paper, then go with the cheapest w/ shipping.

Remember pricing changes due to sales and other factors so from one week to the next they may fluctuate.

See, I was doing that as well! The reason I had to switch to spreadsheets, is because like I said, it wasn't just about comparing prices for a single product....but rather say 2-4 products at a time.

having a spreadsheet was just a little easier when it came to that.

But to be honest, writing a price list on paper, and making a spreadsheet are pretty much the same thing. One of the MAJOR advantages of the spreadsheet, is I can open and edit it anytime I like.....whereas when writing on paper with pens, you have to cross out a price and re-write it to adjust it. Over time, that obviously becomes an issue.

haha! Yea, I definitely have my E-liquid.txt list. not a spreadsheet though, just a notepad document.

I also keep track of the dates that I switch coil heads......because then I have an idea of when to replace them, or how long they lasted once they start tasting off.

I have a list of all the e-liquids I've tried...and of course a list of e-liquid vendors I want to try in the future :)

Not only no but hell no! I hate all spread sheets and the like! Just a big pain in my rear! I liked it better when I called my boss and told him my progress and emailed a couple of pics each day. Now I gotta spend 5 or 6 hrs a week filling in silly forms. and yes Im complaining about getting an extra 5 hr of pay.

I would not on propose never ever fill out a spread sheet unless forced to do so;-)

Does anyone else make spreadsheets comparing prices for different vendors?

Da only spreadsheet I keep today is my actual DIY ¢o$t$ (currently $.042 per ml).

Being 30 months into vaping, I know what equipment I want and flavs I DIY/vape. And yes, I was a spreadsheet hound in da beginning. I now just cyber shop for da best prices for what I know I want.

BTW, thanx fer da reminder to 'clear out' my ol' files'!

P Busardo keeps a graph for juice vendors with prices broken down for 30ml of juice plus whatever they charge for shipping.
So you are in good company. :2cool: JD
