Does anyone else mod their ce2 carto for a feeder like this?

I've been cutting the top off of the silicone plug to make a gasket, then flip it over and slide it just under the slots and cut wicks on the ceramic cup, which I thought would seal it, but apparently not.

Has anybody seen some silicone o-rings that might do the job, or is there some other solution for sealing the tank? I see the cup is about 6mm and the syringe I'm using is 9mm inside, would that be a common size?

Or am I being silli here?
