Does anyone else not feel the need to upgrade from the eGo?

I'm still using the same eGo batteries I bought 2 years ago, the same ones! For me they last forever but I do rotate several so maybe that's why. I went to box mods thinking they would be better but they're just sitting...should probably sell them. I do really like the Go-go setup and use that along with my eGos. I really like the Go-go clear dual coil cartos with bottom coil that can be easily cleaned and rebuilt. I think the Go-go runs about the same volts as the Kgo and is 1300mAh. I do use eGo VVs now too when I'm not using the Go-go but I seldom use the highest setting. I'm a flavor addict and have to have several with different flavors going at once so a Provari or Darwin never interested me.

I've got two T-rex 3.7v 1100mah and two Firefly 3.3v 650mah eGo-styles. They are pretty much all I have used since I started in December last year, and I've no plans to buy anything more expensive than those. They should last me at least a year, I hope.

I did make a Puck mod for the fun of making it, and I occasionally use it for the 5v vaping, but I use the eGos about 95% of the time.

I have two 1000 mah eGo batteries and one passthrough that I think is about the same power level, and I really do like them. (Writing this, I wonder if the term "power supply" could ever catch on? "PV" doesn't really cut it for me when you're just talking about the part that powers everything else, but I guess that's another thread).

I like the locking feature (5 presses "Off", 5 presses back "On"), the durable, rubbery finish, and the reliability. That said, I'm going to buy a couple of e-powers next to see if I like the way they feel in my hand and how the switches work, just for the replaceable battery aspect, and the 3.7 volts versus the 3.4 of my current "genuine Joyetech" eGo's. WV2win keeps pointing out the lower voltage, and I'm curious to see what the difference is with different atomizers. (Definitely going to try a Mom and Pop Submarine Tank with maybe a 2.0 Boge, and the CE4 clearomizer).

I think eGos will have a warm place in my heart for quite a while, and a place in my PV rotation, even if/when I get a Provari or 3. And I'm a Joyetech supporter in general for their quality, pleasing design, and continual innovation like the eGo-C 3-piece atomizers. To me, a Joyetech eGo is like a Honda Accord. Exciting? No. Dependable, and gets the job done? I'd say yes.

John...I have a genuine Joye batt and a knock-off that puts out 3.7 and there is a noticable difference between the two. Its not "out of this world" different but noticable. On my joye..i have to take a few primer puffs and then a few drags back to back to get the vapor up and the carto hot enough(emdcc) I can put that same carto on the 3.7 and its putting out more vapor and gets warmer quicker. The vape is still "cool" which I like but you can feel the difference in your throat and the ease of drawing.

Good stuff, thanks for that. :)

The ONLY reason I upgraded to the provari was because I absolutely loved that first few hits off a fresh charged battery in the morning, and it got worse as the day went by as the voltage dropped. I wanted that stable same voltage as that first vape, and that is what the Pravari gave me. Other then that, I doubt I would have changed from a stardard battery. A small battery is much easier carrying your in your breast pocket all day long. Feel like I should have a mod bra mod made up or something. And yes I'm a dude, and no I don't wear a belt. /sigh

Morganmeltz, can you please tell me more about this battery? I have an Ego-t and I like it, but I kind of want to try something with more power. 3.2 volts seems a little lite for me.

Sorry, travelling, sporadic access....

Got it from litecigusa, pretty sure. Ego clone of some type

3 stage; 3.2, 3.7, 4.2. Click 5 times to change voltage - little fiddly, but you get there. Lights go from red to purple to blue.

Got it because I wanted to try VV for little $$. Read some issues with reliability, but thought: $20, what the hey. I've used it every day for about a month now. May quit tomorrow, but feel I've got my money's worth.

More than actually. Found I like most of my juices (fruity types) better at 3.2. Some I like at 3.7, but all but a couple start to taste burnt at 4.2. I don't do tobacco juice any more, but am guessing you get better results from them at higher voltages.

So, spending the $20 saved me from spending a lot on a higher priced VV device I personally don't need. I'm a happy camper.

I started using ego's in the middle of May 2010 and still have the very first battery I ever bought. I was an avid ego user till the end of Feb. and purchased my first Silver Bullet for more power since I work outside and needed a better work horse battery-wise.

I recently converted my g/f into vaping and she purchased an ego kit with a drip shield included and loved it till she needed more battery life like me. I think if it wasn't for seeing an ego vid on you tube a couple years ago, I would have went for greensmoke and wasted too much money.

I now use my Jazz Cartopipe, Silver Bullet and my first ego in rotation, but going to purchase a kgo kit in the near future to take out and about especially to work. I know i'll want to get into vv vaping in the future too and will always have my eyes on the provari and when I have the money to splurge! :)

I love my eGos! I am completely satisfied with the vape. When I get bored with the look, I just swap out accessories/colors. I have collected quite a few. Here is my SS 650 with a black 6 mL tank and chrome tip beside my wife's pink 650 with a chrome 3.5 mL tank and iridescent pink tip. Also another SS 650 with chrome 3.5 mL tank and chrome tip beside my black 1000 with a black 6mL tank and chrome tip. All have cones to match the size of the tanks. This is barely the tip of the iceberg, I have loads of different combinations to play around with.

I was thrilled with my ego for about 8 mos... it did exactly what I wanted it to, and was just amazing. I eventually moved onto mods, but didn't feel the need to do so for a long time. I still get my smoker friends egos... its the ideal starter kit. And really, when I moved into mods was after i realized I was sensitive to pg, so had to get all VG juice. All vg on an ego is a little less intense than a pg/vg blend, just cause it has no throat hit. I have a couple vv mods now, but I still vape my ego, since I like having multi flavors going at once on different pvs.

Oh and by the by, i just stumbled on this when i was picking up some dctanks, and am using the first one today. But I've got to say, this thing just KICKS out the TH... seriously, hits like a freight train. Was way too hot at 4v, so i tried it on my ego. Feels like a 5v hit, honest to gosh. I am NOT a clearomizer fan, normally, and usually not that fond of dual coils... i replace em in my tanks with resurrectors, a 1.7ohm single coil. So when a 1.5ohm dual coil clearo gives the best throat hit i've ever SEEN from any carto (we're talking stronger than a 2ohm dc at 4.5 volts... much stronger), on a joye ego, at 3.2v... holy moly. So any of you who are thinking yor ego might not be strong enough for you, or considering a mod... I'd try one of these first. Had i found these when all I had was the ego, I wouldn't have felt any need to upgrade. lol It seriously feels like a 4.9v-5v vape, on a 3.2v device... And the only reason i grabbed two of these to try was I was trying to get to the 'free shipping' level. Never would have tried a clearo, otherwise, but glad I did. BTW, you really do need to let them sit for 15 mins after filling. I didn't and it was burned and horrible. But unlike other clearos that keep that 'burned' taste once you scorch them, it went away almost immediately.

Oh, and just to be clear... its kicking with TH on an all VG banana split flavored juice! the juice has zero th of its own.
