Does anyone else not feel the need to upgrade from the eGo?

I just received my eGo yesterday, and I'm so impressed with this thing using it with my e turbo carto (stardust style) that I honestly don't see any need to get into the world of mods or any higher voltage.
Up until now I was using a RN4081 battery from the mall and it just didn't feel like it was the greatest. It always left me desiring more. Now with two eGo batteries and everything I am completely satisfied. :)
I was just wondering how many other users have just been satisfied with their eGo kit and don't feel like they need anything more. Happy vaping!

I'm a very staunch eGo supporter! That's what I obtain for those that want to start vaping, along with several eMDCCs. I will say that the 3.7V eGos (i.e. Riva) are superior.

Although I have several VV mods, I still will use my eGos/eMDCCs on occasions. So to answer your question, yes, I could have very easily stayed with the eGo system. But, I have lil' self control and went wild in da 'candy store'...

There are a lot of people that feel that way. Everyone has their very own sweet spot. Some want to fry their tonsels, and some don't.
BTW the Vision CE4+ on an eGo style battery is a great vape. I just happen to like the LR Stardust at 3.7v instead of 3.4v.
Besides, the Vision eGo (or what ever else someone wants to call it) looks kinda nice on my Mako.

I'm with the OP on this.

I bought an eGo USB pass-through battery from my local vape shop as an upgrade from using Greensmoke. It's now 4 months old and beginning to look a little threadbare, but it works great. I've thought about buying a new PV, but this eGo is working so well for me that I can't justify the expense. Not even to get into variable voltage.

I mean, what's not to love about this thing? I usually keep it plugged-in to my computer when I'm at home, so it's always charged and ready to go with me when I leave home. Off the tether, it lasts at least 6-8 hours under heavy vaping. It's a 510, so it offers maximum compatibility with tanks, cartomizers, clearomizers and atomizers (I've tried them all). It has a sealed battery and 5-click protection.

The only thing I don't really like about it is that it doesn't stand up on end very well (which would be nice when I'm using a tank).

I'm gonna vape this thing until it dies, then I just might go buy another one.

I have a lavatube, 2 ePowers & 4 eGo types (had 5 - 1 died yesterday.) I still use at least 1 ego daily. I travel a lot for work & I keep an eGo in the car with a tank for vaping while driving. I keep it filled with lower nic juice in it for mindless vaping while I'm driving. I get a good vape with it. I have the Lavatube filled with higher nic & run higher voltage for when I need more nic. The ePower has a different flavor for when I want something different.

I don't care what anyone says, but you get a very decent vape on an eGo. When I get down to 2, I'll buy 2 more!

i've been vaping since mid september, and i've been using ego batts exclusively until recently.
i upgraded from the 650 mah to the 1100 mah shortly after. i gave away the 650 mah to help a coworker ditch the cigs. right now i'm sitting on 3 ego batteries and a rev2. i like the egos a lot, and i think they'll always be in my setup.
i thought about vv vaping, but i'm pretty stoked about the amount of vapor and th that 3.7v and lr cartos offer. i don't exactly need to burn more liquid than i currently do either. 30 mls will last me about 3 weeks worth of carefree vaping, and that's the way i like it.

I have a Reo Grande, a Reo Mini, two Phidias Feedimuses, and a Vapage Vmod.

The trouble is that they're all too "nice" or fragile to take outside the house. So they stay home or in my office. Stardust cartos screwed into eGo-T 1000 mAh batteries are all I take with me now.

I also have a TopVapes VV box mod. It works just fine, but I discovered my sweet spot is with 3.7 volts or lower.

The "eGo type" ecigs will always be solid little PVs for any new vaper or veteran. While I do admit that I think the eGo is "so 2011" and don't really get why it's still recommended so often since there are eGo clones now that are def better than the actual eGo, I do think the eGo deserves credit for being the first. The eGo was awesome when it first came out bc there was nothing else like it, which made it really popular. I think now though, the only reason the eGo is still recommended so much is bc a lot of eGo users have never used any of the other eGo type PVs. Personally, now that theres other "eGo type" PVs available, I honestly don't see any benefit of buying a 3.3-3.4V eGo anymore when you can buy a 3.7V Epower or kGo that has better battery life, provides a little more "oomph", and if anything is cheaper than the eGo. I'm not saying the eGo is a bad PV bc it's not at all, I just don't really see the point of buying one anymore or recommending them to newbies when the kGo and Epower are basically just upgraded eGos. Plus the 3.7V PVs handle the lower resistance attys and cartos a lot better, which means you can use a real low resistance atty/carto and not have to worry about it potentially frying your PV, like with the eGo.8
I have an Epower and love it. I used it for over 6months non-stop and never once felt the need to get something better. I do have a VV PV now, but only bought it bc I just wanted to try VV vaping, not bc I wasn't happy with my Epower or it didn't give me enough. Even with a nice VV PV, I still use my Epower daily and prefer using it when I'm out.
I do see why an eGo user might not want to switch to an Epower since it uses completely different non-proprietary batteries, even though you can buy 4 EPower batteries for the cost of 1 eGo battery and they last a lot longer before they need to be replaced. But then why not get a kGo instead of getting another eGo? It uses the same type proprietary batteries, is similar in size with the same 510 threading, and doesn't cost any more than the eGo does. But your getting a PV that gives a very good vape with alittle mOre kick than the eGo.
Again, the eGo is a good PV that does give a nice vape, and I know a lot of people like them, I just feel that if more newbies were recOmmended a 3.7V "eGo type" PV instead of an actual eGo, there would be an even higher % of new vapers that would be completely satisfied with their kit and wouldn't feel the need to move onto something else

I felt the same way until I started having bad luck with my egos. I had three die within two months of buying them so I ventured into mods as a way to get cheaper drop in batteries. Now I buy too many mods...

I had to get a mod quickly because an ego just didn't cut it for me. I have a provari and 2 18490 batteries that I cycle through every other day after 5 months they are still going as strong as day one. My wife and a few friends started vaping around the same time as I started and the ego/kgo type was enough to satisfy them but after they were getting battery after battery dying they too went with mods. Sure I understand some like the form factor but at the rate my wife and my friends were going through ego/ego clones they cost more than a freaking Provari !!

I've been using nothing but Egos and ego clones for my past 7 months of vaping, I recently lost my ego passthrough recently and kind of used that as an excuse that I have to spend 200 dollars on a mod and related equipment. It will be coming in thursday so im hoping i like it, if not i guess ill just go back to my egos where i have been satisfied thus far.

But to answer your question, yes i could easily stay with the egos, but my curiosity as to what else is out there needs to be satisfied.

Im down with the egos, for the past 6 months I was using 3 900mah and 1 1200mah on constant rotation with LR cartos, thats what got me off cigarettes. I had tried a bottom feeder last year and that wasnt for me, just alot of fiddling going on with that, the egos are easy and I am a fan of small devices that dont draw much attention. My biggest complaint with the ego batteries is the way theyre charged and the fact that the vape can get pretty anemic after some time. Im super picky about the way this stuff looks, I wanted to stay with something about the size of the ego, and after a lot of research I picked a new mod, the 3VO. I would absolutely recommend this to any ego user who just wants a little more out of their device. Its about the size of the biggest ego batteries out there, has a 510 connection, uses actual batteries that can go in a charger, and has selectable voltages, thats about all I wanted and what i got.

We're whores. We're all whores. I stepped up to a quasy VV today and ordered an EVO. Thats High School. We all know that the next step is college. That's when I'll get the Darwin or the Provari and get my Masters degree. The ego is elementary school and soon....IF.....you're a ..... like the rest of us....you'll feel the need for a real diploma. And that's when your ego becomes just a "back up".

    Class dismissed!!!
