Does anyone else not feel the need to upgrade from the eGo?

I just received my eGo yesterday, and I'm so impressed with this thing using it with my e turbo carto (stardust style) that I honestly don't see any need to get into the world of mods or any higher voltage.
Up until now I was using a RN4081 battery from the mall and it just didn't feel like it was the greatest. It always left me desiring more. Now with two eGo batteries and everything I am completely satisfied. :)
I was just wondering how many other users have just been satisfied with their eGo kit and don't feel like they need anything more. Happy vaping!

I definitely agree as you can see by my pic :p

I own and use a lot of stuff. Some of my mods would be considered to be among the best you can get... but I have a bunch of egos too and I use them. In fact, I have my first ego kit still going strong and I think a little blessing about viki at cignot every time I grab one of them. She sent the kit to me with good wishes (even drew a little bird and a flower on the invoice) so every time I use one of those two egos, I think of her kindly.

The word "upgrade" is a funny thing. A joye ego is an excellent PV. I actually like the fact that it is regulated to around ~3.3 to ~3.4v. It provides a very consistent vaping experience and is dead simple to use and is also small enough to just put in my pocket. There's one in a crown royale bag with a little kit of a couple of cartos and a couple of 3ml bottles of juice tucked away in the tool box on my truck. When i pull that kit out of the truck, I'm sure I'll make it through the day with the supplies I have on hand and with a little electricity left over at the end of the day. eGo's do exactly what they are designed to do and they do it very well.

If I decided to buy a pair of every single expensive mod on the market today, I would still use my egos often. I have four egos on my desk. Two are in a coffee cup so that they will stand up. they have CE2 MAP tanks on them. Two others here each have cartos on right now. there is a boge 1,8 ohm carto on one and the other one has a 1.7 ohm resserector on it.

I'm really glad I never "outgrew" my eGos because they fit an important niche in my vaping habit.. I even like and use my ego knock-offs. I have a couple of unregulated ego clones here too. They don't get use all the time, but they perform well and the battery life is very good, so I tend to take one of those along to sporting events, concerts, family reunions etc etc etc.

I do plan to sell off a few of them and keep maybe just six. But I'm keeping a half dozen because I like having them around and they are very consistent --> And, they've been really reliable.

I'm very happy w/ my 1100mAh eGos (maybe they're clones?). I have 3 batts that I rotate through. I have red, orange & yellow dots stuck on the bottom so I know which is up next.

Simply put, they fit my current needs. They also fit in the pencil slot in my shirt pockets. When the 2 of the 3 die, I'll consider something else. Or... maybe I'll just buy a couple more clones.

If there is one slight change I'd make, it would be to use Riva or kgo batteries instead of ego batteries, because they tend to have a slightly more powerful voltage than the egos. However, I do constantly use my ego batteries, even though I have a Lavatube and another VV wood box mod on its way. The ego-size unit is infinitely portable, provides a tremendous amount of options for trial and error, and is not as heartbreaking if you end up losing one along the line. I don't understand people who say "skip past all of that and go straight to (Provari, Darwin) because you will absolutely have that someday", because honestly, with my Lavatube and my egos and my little box mod, I have absolutely no intent on buying another PV anytime soon.

The egos go to work with me. They tuck neatly into my pocket when I'm going out for a walk. They are stealth-capable when I'm somewhere where I'd get odd looks while vaping, and they can be disguised as a thick pen. What's not to love? :)

After the plain 510 battery I upgraded to the Ego. I used it soley for 6 months. I was wanting something more-hit, vapor, longer lasting ect. So, tried a Kgo since it hits harder. Then I had to try 5v and was in heaven for about a year then wanting something more so I invested in my first provari and that ended up being my holy grail. I can adjust the voltage based on juice and need for a stronger hit. One bad thing though is once you go for more humpf then your Ego can provide, its not very satisfying to go back to the Ego from a highpowered mod PV.

If a person simply wants to quit smoking and doesn't care to search for bigger and better then buying a Ego/Kgo will work great for a long time. You cant miss a mod you haven't tried-thus will stay satisfied with your ego. Also, vaping becomes a hobby for you, then most likely your not going to be happy with just an Ego. I wan't anyways.

Even though I own several VV and 5 volts, I still use my 1000mah egos when I drive. A box mod, or a big tube isn't comfortable nor safe when I have my hands on the wheel. I used to only really smoke analogs when I drove and I first thought a similar size PV would fit the bill, but they are too heavy for the way I used to to hold a cig. The egos non slip surface and bigger size keeps me from dropping it like I kept doing with my 510 batts. Also they are great for introducing the curious without the stigma of a cig or the pipe bomb/detonator look of some mods.

Yeah, I've kept to my trusty egoT. I did however get a $20 3 stage VV ego battery, which I'm liking a lot.

Morganmeltz, can you please tell me more about this battery? I have an Ego-t and I like it, but I kind of want to try something with more power. 3.2 volts seems a little lite for me.

But PV's are like potato chips, thus my desk looks like this most of the time.

Im down with the egos, for the past 6 months I was using 3 900mah and 1 1200mah on constant rotation with LR cartos, thats what got me off cigarettes. I had tried a bottom feeder last year and that wasnt for me, just alot of fiddling going on with that, the egos are easy and I am a fan of small devices that dont draw much attention. My biggest complaint with the ego batteries is the way theyre charged and the fact that the vape can get pretty anemic after some time. Im super picky about the way this stuff looks, I wanted to stay with something about the size of the ego, and after a lot of research I picked a new mod, the 3VO. I would absolutely recommend this to any ego user who just wants a little more out of their device. Its about the size of the biggest ego batteries out there, has a 510 connection, uses actual batteries that can go in a charger, and has selectable voltages, thats about all I wanted and what i got.
I love the versatility of my ego-C kit with 2-1000 mah batts and I use it every day. But I wanted something with a little range in voltage. I just got my 3VO kit and love it! For the price it really can't be beat. I really love how it has a screw on cap that fits over a carto or a slim tank. What a great idea for taking your mod anywhere worry free from leakage or damage. The fact that it takes actual batteries was also a major selling point for me. I'm not crazy about super shiny chrome anything(especially cars and trucks) but I couldn't resist cause the 3VO is so damn slick. I may look into getting it coated with Teflon though. The thought of doing that is giving me goosebumps.......LOL

Will the Evo 'take' eGo styled cartos/clearos - like the stardust "as is". or do you need a 510-to-eGo adapter?
    Thanks!

    What a nice refreshing thread.

I know people who have vaped for over 2 years who continue to use ego's exclusively.

I've bought various mods for various reasons -but still use my ego passthru from time to time.

I'm also a "don't need high volt" vaping person and I'm sure there are many more in that category than is realized.

Really glad the OP is enjoying the Ego. I know I sure loved mine. When they started to show signs of age, I retired them and went mod shopping.
