Does anyone else wish more mods looked high end?

Just getting back into vaping recently, I love my Alien and Pico. Found my way into RTAs which for the most part look really nice. New mods, not so much. Im not made of gold, but wish some of the lower price point mods looked more "professional" or "fancy" if you will. Im 46, but I can understand the allure of many mods on the market targeting younger folks.

Some stainless trim, faux leather maybe. Im not picky(well, maybe I am) but would love to see more mods that dont say I sit in my parents basement playing video games all day. Ya know? Or is it just me?

There aren't many cheap mods that are SS, China makes their atties in SS bc they have to, but if they can die cast a mod in zinc instead of milling it out of SS they are gonna.
They are also able to pop them out much faster and easier, which is the part that saves you money.
It's a "you get what you pay for" kind of thing, and ofc, you can always buy an actual high end mod, though most of those are going to be lower wattage than what you're probably used to.
look up the therion, that's a cheap mod that kind of fits what you want. Here's my squonk version, i also have the 166 version which is also very nice.

I'd reccommend the new evic primo but it has a crap 510 and only seems to work reliably with the tank it comes with.

Also, if I could live in my mom's basement playing video games all day instead of working I'd be a happy man.

No I don't need bling... or to proclaim my social status, to the world.....

A simple black or brushed metal box is fine for me.. although I prefer more ergonomic shaping....

Fact Is the guts and function of the mod are much more important to me than looks.

Solid gold and diamond incrusted box mod isn't going to vape better than a cheap zinc or aluminum stamped box.

I have a bunch of gorgeous looking MOD's but I care about how nice they look and it is a problem taking them out to use! My RX200S gets more use because it can take the abuse of daily use. Like the HotCig R150 I would be upset if I dropped it.

I use my Revenant 160 and my Hotcig R150 everyday. They are in and out of my pocket all day. If they get broke I know where to get new ones.

been using my Primo for 2 weeks+ daily with Serpent mini and Nautilus mini, zero issues. but buying one of these is kind of a gamble really.

Mike Vapes has an updated review for this, Joyetech updated the 510 on their new Primos. though i dont think you can tell the difference between the crappy and updated ones by just looking from the box.

I find that most mods, end up looking somewhat the same regardless of price tag on it.

I consider comfort in hand and usage to be more important than look, but yeah, I agree that many have a "cheap" look and feel to them with plastic and coloured buttons and such.

Like someone else mentioned, the Therion from Lost vape, has a good following as they do look great, are solid mods, not crazy overpriced, and look high quality. I wish I could say more about it, but I'm still waiting for mine to get here.

That said, I also don't go with "popular = good" either... I've seen a few models being the "it" mod to have, only to see lots of issues come out of it.

Personally, I find some of the most popular mods to be ugly and cheap looking, but hey, lots of people like them... so taste is subjective.

Lots of people didn't like the TC100W, which I absolutely love, it's sleak, has great features that most other mods don't have.

I got my first GG mod and it was a beauty. I decided to take it out that first night, went to put it in my jacket pocket and missed. It hit the concrete, creating a big gash.
I got my first acrylic mod, a sweet swirling woodgrain look. It cracked around the entire body the first time I dropped it on a hard surface.

All my good looking mods stay home now, as my out and about mods get dropped.
Actually, even my stay at home mods get dropped, just not as often and not on concrete.
I like and need durability!
