Hello,

I will be transitioning to MTL RTA, so I started to look for regulated mods (from what I gather regulated mods are better for MTL) and I would like to hear some advice.
My experience was the following:
First I bough Wismec single battery mod 85w (shaped like a pipe), it still works, I will use it for now probably.
Then I bought Reuleaux 300cx, which died on me after 2 years.
Then Vgod steel series - died in less than 3 month (juice got inside the enclosure, corrosion, started to fire randomly in my pocket...for 250$ thanks Vgod!) - so Vgod company is in my black list, I will never buy them again ever.
I exchanged Vgod for VaperzCloud Stratus unregulated mod, never looked back even though I do have problems with it after all, but at least it’s bare bones simple (no circuitry) and build like a tank.

I expect a device to hold many years, I would say at least 5, even more. (I really want to buy once and forget - like think power tools - Makita, Bosch, dewalt - you cant go wrong with any of those brands, that’s the kind of mod brand I’m looking for).
I want to transition to 21700 batteries mods. (Single or dual - MTL require less wattage from what I gather, so maybe a single battery will hold me for a day, Idk yet).
I don’t care much about the esthetics - I prefer to pay for the tech inside, and not for “gold plating” or other exotic stuff, I prefer a classic look (opposite of transformer looking or Lamborghini looking mods), but again what will win is the tech inside and build quality.
I think I will need adjustable power curve function (I’m not sure yet, as I’ve never used MTL before)

that’s it I think
Most important is reliability, competent build and design/engineering, and quality components.

I would appreciate advice on companies in general, or even specific models.

I see that Vaporeso Armour Pro, and GTRS Vboy 222w are recommended a lot, but vaporeso is described as starter kit, and gtrs is described as a mid tear. Are there mods better than that?

If you will tell me that it’s better to buy mid-tier, wait till it dies, than buy another one - I will accept that too. I just want to know what are my options, what is out there on the market, and to hear your opinions from your experience.

thanks!
Regards,
Vadim

Get a Dicodes. Long warranty, excellent build quality, and a nice looking mod. No idea where you're located so can't give you any links that will ship to your location.

It's nice to think of something that can last 5 years, but electronics can and do fail, even in high end products. But a Dicodes, or if you can find one for mtl use, a Provari, should give you the best shot for the longevity you're asking for.

Oh yes!, decodes looks awesome
Do you know any international shop that can be trusted that sells them? They definitely don't have a representative in my country

right, sorry - i'm from Israel
seems Creme de Vape will ship to me, will check!

If you are in the States, make sure you pay the extra for DHL shipping, otherwise waiting for the Royal Mail is a nightmare. I placed an order from CdV on Friday, and it's out for delivery right now on Monday.

You might also check out the Taifun Box, also available from CdV. It has a dicodes chip. The mod is a variation on the dicodes mods. I have two Taifuns and two dicodes and love both of them.
