No way, I flaunt it. Went to a party with it and everyone was flippin out, definitely got a few prospective buyers for a few sites I like to deal with. People older than me get the weirdest faces, like I'm walking around smoking a joint or something. Then if they(people older than me) do ask about it I explain to them and they either say: "Wow you'll get cancer alot quicker with all that weird stuff than normal cigs" or "That's weird....."

I kind of get the feeling that because I'm only 19 they see me as young and naive, thus making the product fraudulent (if that makes sense.) But when people get negative about it I just walk off lol, if they don't want their lives saved, don't save em. That being said, I'm all for promoting e-cigs, but I'm not gonna get into an argument over it. They really are still somewhat of a hidden gem.

I don't feel awkward about it, at all. As already said, I will go out of my way to talk about it. I am proud that I converted to this, and stand by the fact that I can talk openly about what it really is. I read up on the facts, research any new news about it, and am ready to debate when someone challenges me. I think the true shame would be NOT openly discussing it, and informing people about what it is. I had a coworker who was completely anti-smoking, and quite sarcastic, who, after letting me explain it to him, said "Man, I need to tell my wife about these... I hate smoking, but as far as I'm concerned, I can't say much to you when I'm sucking down a 20 oz. Vault..."

The only way to help people understand, whether at work or at radio shack, is to show them, tell them, and let them see why we do it...

I agree with this for I am 18. Being so young I dont feel that I could do it justice for I would be seen as naive. I hope this makes sense.

I don't mind it myself. But if you're not a person who likes to get in long conversations with strangers, I can see where it might be daunting. It's guaranteed to bring on a conversation and a fair amount of the e-cig smoker speaking and answering questions-- possibly even the kind of thing that ends up including others who happen to be standing nearby. And you never know if people are going to say, "hey what a neat thing", or "that's a load of bullcocky!"So I could see where it would be intimidating for someone who is more shy.
