My ADV is a Double Chocolate.

Capella Double Chocolate V2 3%
Flavor West Bavarian Cream 2% (Or use Capella Sweet Cream)
Your choice Sweetener at .5%

I actually use half those amounts now, but that was my original recipe.
20% PG, 80% VG.
I also mix a liter at a time.

Adding .5% or less of any flavor that goes with chocolate adds a nice change now and then.

I have a pretty good recipe with a few more flavors to it but it's not that in your face flavor. More sometimes is not always better I'll try this one. Thanks

@Angelo Simmons if you are looking for a seriously convincing chocolate, check out MF Dark Chocolate. It is widely recognized (ATF/ELR and elsewhere) as the most accurate tasting chocolate around.

It's my favorite chocolate. IMO, MF DC is the Queen/King of Chocolates. Easily.

The majority of MF flavors (Medicine Flower) are super ultra concentrated. Meaning you do not need to use much for full bodied flavor. I have some where 1-2 drops in a 30ml mix is "full flavored".

MF Dark Chocolate should be used between 0.4% and 1% (max). At 0.8% - 1%, the max I've seen it used (ELR/ATF), MF DC will hold its own in a mix. It will sit front and center.

MF flavors do ...require... a long steep. Minimum 4 weeks. 6-7 weeks even better.

Here are @sessiondrummer's excellent notes for MF Dark Chocolate. I split them up so they're easier to read (sorry SD ).

**Dark Chocolate (MF) 0.5% (09-24-18)** -- I knew this one was going to be one of the Heavy Hitters from Medicine Flower, but held off on testing it, until now. Having mixed quite a bit of this up, was interested to see exactly HOW good it was, solo. Chocolate seems to be one of the hardest flavors to get right, but somehow (through their extraction process) MF has managed to absolutely capture the entire essence of a Dark Chocolate with this one, AND, it's completely clear.

Clear you say, sure, you have TPA DCC, and it's pretty clear, but it can't touch this one. I think it's far to say when comparing the many chocolates I have, this one and TPA DCC are similar, but after that, they are not in the same league.

This one is a delightfully (yes I said that) Dark Chocolate, with NO off putting notes. No need to tweak, add to it, push or pull it, right out of the bottle delicious, full, sweet enough, creamy, and dark, RIGHT out of the bottle (after steeping) and even @ 0.5%. Wow, and more wow, doesn't even come close.

It is dense enough to be very full at this strength, with no overowering notes, nothing artificial, and does appear to be a fairly complex blend that most others cannot compete with. Dark almost implies it will be, well, dark, but it's almost assumed it would be bitter, or maybe dry, but NOT with this one.

Somehow they've come up with a just about perfect blend of darker chocolates, just the right amount of sweetness, but with plenty of "mid-body" that carries it through to a much fuller chocolate than just a "dark" chocolate.

I've heard @Pro_Vapes rant and rave about tossing all of his chocolates after trying this one, and now I see why. If you are in the mood for a full, creamy, dark and full bodied chocolate, you cannot go wrong with this one. At some level, **10/10** doesn't seem to come close, but it will have to do. On a side note, I cannot NOT post a shameless link to something Pro_Vapes came up with, that pulls this into a Milk Chocolate, as it is TOO good not to.

More chocolates worth mentioning when looking for accurate...

VTA Chocolate Mousse is a mid-point chocolate. It's positioned somewhere between dark and milk chocolates.

VTA Dark Chocolate is a very accurate tasting dark chocolate. Not in the same class as MF Dark Chocolate (the undisputed king of dark choc.) but excellent.

I have all the VTA chocolates. IMO, they've done a bang-up job with their entire line of chocolates. I think they rank right after MF's as the best to be found. Also, right up there with those is FLV Milk Chocolate.

Other chocolates I prefer: WF Chocolate Chunks, MB Glamour Chocolate, VTA Chocolate Custard and WF SC Chocolate Frosting. SSA Chocolate and Chocolate Mousse are also good.

FWIW... any dark chocolate can be made into one that is something less than a DC and/or closer to that of a milk chocolate using other flavors. Having said that, a true milk chocolate tasting mix has long been sought after (holy grail). It still eludes even the finest mixers. Folks have come close though.

Are you open to changing the percents with the Hershey Highway recipe?

If so... here are the changes I would make to highlight the overall chocolate profile...

TPA Bavarian Cream 1.5%
CAP Chocolate Glazed Doughnut 2.5% - 3%
TPA Double Chocolate Clear 2.5%
CAP Marshmallow 0.5%
TPA Sweet Cream 0.5%
TPA Vanilla Cupcake 2%
TPA Vanilla Swirl 1%

optional: TPA Sweetener 0.25% - 0.5% | Note: with the sweet cream, marshmallow and Bavarian cream the recipe already has a healthy amount of inherent 'sweetness' / IOW and IMO a sweetener isn't needed. But hey... YMMV.

What I would mix...

option #1

VTA Chocolate Mousse 2%
VTA Dark Chocolate 0.75%
WF Vanilla Cream Extra 1.25%
INW Shisha Vanilla 0.75%
JF Yellow Cake 2%
CAP Cake Batter 0.5%
WF Crumble Topping 0.5%

optional: CAP Super Sweet 0.25% - 0.5% (start at 0.25%) | Try minus sweetener first. If you feel the need to add some let it steep for a few more days. IMO, most sweeteners added 'after a mix has steeped' do best with additional steep time.

The two VTA chocolates create a very pleasant overall chocolate profile. JF Yellow Cake for either a cake or doughnut-like texture. CAP Cake Batter adds moistness. WF VCE and INW SV will help the overall chocolate profile blossom flavor-wise and add creaminess.

WF Crumble Topping is also optional. It would add additional complexity, texture and a crumble topping as might be found on some cakes or doughnuts.

option #2 - recipe above with these two chocolates (minus VTA DC)

VTA Chocolate Mousse 1.75%
MF Dark Chocolate 0.6%

Suggested steep time = 3-4 weeks / 4-7 weeks if using MF DC

@Angelo Simmons, you might consider trying this Pro_Vapes recipe.

Screen shot 2022-10-07 at 4.49.01 PM.png

His notes:

Sweet Creamy Milk Chocolate. No bitters. This taste better than the other two milk chocolates I have in my stash. I'm going to make a Milk Chocolate (Flavor Base) and use it in recipes.

This vapes very good as a standalone.

Steep 3 weeks

It's a milk chocolate base. Add whatever bakery flavor(s) you desire.
