yeah true, well i have already ordered the v2 so i hope i like it, but i think ill have to just buy one of the bigger ones just so i really know the difference between them

A bigger battery will last longer. There is no way to get around that. It will also deliver more power so you can use a lower' ohm carto.
The more power a battery sends to the coil the more juice that can be vaporized.
power = watts
More volts = more watts = more hit and vapor.
Lower ohms = more watts = more hit and vapor.

Using more watts will also drain your battery faster.

With the same voltage you will get a lot more hit and smoke with a 2.0 ohm cartomizer than with a 3.0 ohm cartomizer. To say a battery gives good smoke and hit doesn't really mean anything. It is the combination of battery votlage and cartomizer ohms that matters.

Brendan, which Wilmington are you in? Delaware, California or North Carolina (I know there are more, but those are the "big" ones)? If in NC go to Electra Vapor at either location - Ogden by Food Lion or behind Taste of Italy on College Rd @ Wrightsville Ave. They have the eGo, Lea and Halo (same as V2) styles and lots of liquids (Halo and others) and some pre filled (Premium & others). They will let you try each one to see what's best for you. Plus they will let you try the different flavors. They will also allow you to trade in your V2 kit for a discount towards an upgrade kit (eGo, Lea, etc.)

V2 is good, I like them-- they're just overpriced and shipping/stocking issues can be ridiculous. I've had mine for a few weeks, as I did the same as you and started with google searches. I'm still happy with what I have. I have one white one with a red led that looks a lot like the real thing.

It's a good device. My complaint is that a battery through v2 is $25 vs. something like $16 on V4L (both KR808's)--not counting the discount codes (I found a 38% off at v4l, vs 15% from v2). I wanted a third bat and a PCC, so I got a PCC kit from V4L for FRACTION of V2's price, and I got more choices on color/style-- all around cheaper, better with shipping and keeping their stock supplied. I know you'll read a lot of stuff out there, but I've had not problem using v4l's vaporking products interchangably with V2-- so that's what I've done. If you decide you want a cheaper replacement, you can get a KR808 from elsewhere and won't lose the use of your carto's and accessories from v2. I'm specifically trying to sell you on V4L, there are plenty of other companies out there selling the same bats as v2.

I also really like some of V2s flavors. Their cartos don't seem the most consistent (perhaps not full?), but I love the vanilla, Red, Menthol, Peppermint-- better than a lot of the other stuff I've tried (including the juices from v4l).

As it goes, V2 are one of the best mini e-cigs out there. I've tried a lot so I'm happy to say this.

They are a KR808 so most other KR8's will fit, either battery to carto or the other way round. So you can use other vendor's stuff on them if you wanted to. V2 batteries are exactly the same as anyone else's, 3.7 volts of course. They haven't invented a new type of cell or something All 3.7v cells come off charge at 4.2 volts, it's standard.

And their cartos are equal to about 6 or 7 cigarettes, just like any other carto that size, as you can't change the laws of physics, Jim - they take the same amount of liquid. It's all just marketing - but done well, for sure.

But what they do better than most, somehow, is give plenty of vapor for a mini. Yes you'll get more from something with a larger battery - of course - as you can fit an LR carto to it, which is what it's all about. But noobs want a mini and this is a good one. I'd actually bet against a 510 with it, for vapor volume.

OK so when you have more experience you will know what to look for in your next model. But as most noobs want a mini, and this is a good one, then go for it. Just buy some liquid somewhere else and refill the cartos, you should get about 5 refills before you have to either throw them or clean them out.

Oh and the cartos vary in resistance from about 2.4 to 2.7 ohms, so they can vary in vapor. If you have one that turns out lots of vapor then it's one with a lower resistance, which is good.

I like the V2. But only for short outings usually and I'd take a spare battery and cart with me. They are a good company and it's good stuff. Is it the best? Depends on what you used first I suppose.

If they aren't satisfying enough, get some high test juice to refill with. They make good vapor for sure, so the juice/flavor would be the only issue.

I would slow down if I were you. Try out the V2 and see if you like it. The cartos (blanks) are excellent quality, and you just need to find some good juices. If you know Virgin Vapor, then you know good juice. If you have prefilled cartos, save them for some good juices, as they can last a good long while.

I also started with a V2 kit, and apart from some extra room in my wallet, they are a good kit. They have their downsides, due to being small, and so the charge isn't very long, but every other small batt model suffers from the same setback i.e. Volt, Bloog, Vapor4Life, etc. Also, the V2 is a gen. 1 batt, meaning that it isn't regulated, so voltage starts at 4.2V right of the charger, and by the end of its charge, it is around 3.6V. Not a big deal, as the V2 rides that sweet spot for much of its charge cycle. Also, Gen. 1 batts are not sealed at all, and are therefore prone to damage caused by leaks. Not a problem if you are careful. FYI Vapor4Life batts are also Gen. 1, but have a 10 second cutoff for longer draws (the V2 has a 7 second cutoff).

Just stick with the V2 for a while, get used to it, and vaping in general, and then look at an upgrade. Many people get caught up in chasing the perfect vape, and spend a lot of $$$ doing it.

Hi Brendan and welcome! Confusing, isn't it? I started with a V2 as well. I fell for one of those advertising review sites, but honestly I've been pretty happy with it. It's slim like an analog, which means the battery life leaves something to be desired. Three or four hours, depending on how heavy a vaper you become. Like everyone here says, within a couple weeks, I was looking to upgrade. V2's flavors are excellent however, so I'll continue to order some prefilled cartos just to keep my warranty in effect, and my V2's make a great back-up. I recently bought an Elite 808 from CigEasy.. the battery is a bit bigger and has MUCH better life, I'm getting 7-8 hours on a charge. And their cartos are bigger, which means less refilling. And my V2 cartos will fit the Elite too.. so I won't waste all those cartos I have hanging around. I read a lot about the KGo here, and a week into my Elite I'm thinking about checking that out too.. but really, the Elite is probably all I will ever need. Been over a month without the analogs and I'm completely grateful to have found this forum,, and the ecig world! Good luck and I hope you find what you want.

My experience with V2 has been positive. Excellent customer service; shipped out replacement usb charger same day. As others have said; their prices are higher. Oh and found out on this forum that their lifetime warranty is only valid if you keep your account active. Need to purchase something every 90days or so.

Our first kit was v2 & I still have them. My hubby uses them & I have switched to v4l's XL Diamond 808's (pretty colors). The v2's seem to be doing well. The company gives a lifetime warranty on their batteries. But from what I have read on ECF you have to be sure to order something every 90 days or your account goes inactive thus no more warranty. We ordered some Congress prefilled carts & they have served well. Tasted pretty good too when we were just starting. I'm still refilling those same cartos for over a month, so they must be good quality. v2's customer service is good. We had a bad auto batt from the get-go & they quickly replaced it, no questions asked. I will be ordering some prefilled from them soon. They only cost about a dollar more than blanks, so I'll use their juice at 20 extra per.

Hi Brendan - Like you I chose the V2 as my first "vaping" experience. Paid $65 for first starter kit. I liked the size of the battery and the "ease" of using pre-filled cartridges as I'm a pretty no hassle type of person. However, do not buy the claims that 1 cartridge is equal to 1 pack of analogs - not so. I smoke a pack of analogs a day or less but I went through 20 pre-filled cartridges in one week! I am not a constant vapor - in fact, I don't smoke analogs in my house so I wanted to "vape" the way I "smoked". If you do the math 20 pre-filled carts added up to about 3 packs a day! Their pre-fillers are expensive too. Saw many complaints on their own forum about people getting bad batches of carts that were going dry quickly as was the case with mine. Their service is ok but they like to make you believe that this is a "rare" thing and I even had a customer rep tell me that "you only hear the complaints people have never the good things". I told her that was not so but I felt like her company misrepresented the length of use you would get out of a cartridge. Let's face it, if most people are like me they want to quit analogs not only for health reasons but to save $$ and I didn't want to be throwing them $40 for 20 cartridges only to get 1 week's worth out of those! I sent my kit back under their 30 day money back warranty, got my money back, found these nice folks at ECF who gave me advice and ended up with the Riva 510 Starter kit at half the cost of V2's. Using cartomizers and juice. I'm still a newbee and still having to find the right "curve" on how to fill, vape, clean, etc. but that's to be expected. Been watching lots of You Tube "How To" videos on vaping. Yes, miss the pre-filled carts but compare the cost of a bottle of e-liquid that lasts close to a month for me to the cost of $40 for 20 pre-filled carts - no brainer . I don't want to bash a company - V2 had some good qualities and they are fairly new but I just don't like products to be misrepresented to me. Stick with ECF before you make any further purchases. These guys have been vaping for quite some time, successfully and know the ends and outs that will help newcomers like us. Good luck to you - and me for that matter - still trying to get off analogs completely but do have faith that day will come soon

im in Wilmington NC, that's where i went to begin with, i bought a revolution vapor starter kit, then i got the v2 battery. And then ordered another "2 battery from the v2 web site. Since then I order all my juice from virgin vapors, and i love everything I've gotten from that site, thats where i saw the kgo and think i need to step it up to one of the bigger versions. I guess I should go try one of the egos and see how i like it, then I'll know if I'll like to get the kgo thanks

I've been analog free for 3+ months. Bought a v2 ultimate kit on a whim and love it. I was a ppd Marlborough red smoker and the Red 18 Mg worked for me. Customer service and quality have been good. Availability and time to ship have improved. Probably higher priced but still cheaper than smokes. Living smoke free is priceless. Enjoy the journey.

I also went with the V2 as my first ecig, I just got it a week ago. Similar to what peacegirl64 said, the Red 18mg worked for me too and I quit my pack a day analogs on my 3rd day! I have nothing to compare it to but I think it is a great product. As this was my first ecig I now have the benefit of hindsight and ECF to guide my further endeavors. I wish I had ordered the 78mm batteries and both of them with the manual button. Also wish I had ordered the 10 flavor sampler pack with my starter kit, because for me even being 5 hours away from Miami with priority mail shipping it took a week for my kit to arrive, my sampler pack took 6 days to arrive due to their accidental cancellation of my order. Customer service was good, but I was first offered a 25% discount and then they changed their minds and only did 15%. Also they shipped to my billing address by mistake. For me, in the 2 weeks since I first ordered my starter kit they already have 4 strike outs in a row. I now have lots of juice sample packs from a few different suppliers and a KGO on order.

v2cigs has been in business for almost 2 years now and still sells merchandise that it doesn't have in stock on its website. What's up with that? How complicated is it to have an inventory system? Charge first and worry about you getting it later sounds like their business model. No vendors in any other industry have ever done that to me except by a very occasional mistake. yeah that sounds like me, ive just been wanting something better since i started, i just want something better, i like the v2 it hits okay, I really feel im ready for a bigger model already, now just to figure out witch one!

so lets see, you want something that looks like a smoke. i did too when i quit almost a year ago. i used it for a couple months and then thought to myself....self.... why in the world after all the damage smokes have done do you want something that even comes close to looking like something i hate? my answer was i dont. i dont want it white, i dont want it smoke size, i dont want a glowing tip and i dont want people to think im smoking. ive been through a ton of mods since trying to find the perfect one for me and believe me ive had some great ones and they all do what they are supposed to. i finally settled on the reo for me.

if you want bigger and better you might check out the silver bullet for a tube mod. for a bottomfeeder ( fill your bottle with juice and give a squeeze here and there and go all day with no problems.
