ive been searching this site for information for about a week now. its been such a pain that i decided to join so i could get my questions answered. i recently decided to try out some disposable brands of e-cigs because it keeps me from having to go outside in the cold. ive tried revolution and cigalectric, which didnt seem too bad. now that im interested, im looking for a decent brand that i could reuse instead of wasting money on disposables. i would like something thats similar to cigalectric or revolution in hit (auto or manual idc). startup costs arent a big concern, if i pay more to begin to cut costs later so be it. i know plenty about ego because thats pretty much all i can seem to find info on. i just want to consider my other options. size doesnt matter, battery life doesnt matter as long as it lasts 3-4 hours (if i have to use multiple batteries to cut costs idc). im a pretty heavy smoker, 1.5-2 packs of marlboro reds a day. i just want a decent hit and equipment thats low hassle and worth what you pay for it. Help is much appreciated.

Well , Welcome to ECF . Another option besides an EGO , might be an E-Power , a tad larger than an EGO , but uses regular batteries , that are lots cheaper to replace , are 510 connections , so all the carto's and atty's will work on it . There is also two versions , the newest one uses a larger battery from more time between charges , but even the smaller one lasts 4 or 5 hours between charges . There are lots of choices , but that's a cheap option that will take care of you for months to come . A lot of people still use E-Powers as their everyday , go to PV . Lots of luck . Oh and buy some sample sizes of different juices , so you can fill the carto's yourself / Lots cheaper than buying already filled .

What is it a slim model? Best/strongest slim combo IMO is manual V4L batteries (for their 10+ second cutoff) with cartomizers from Bloogplanet or SmokelessImage. I also use V4L WOW cartos but they can get too hot on the lips - I use a small plastic or delrin drip tip as a cool mouthpiece (also easier to remove to check stuffing or with carto off battery to add juice). I recommend the standard size/78mm batteries which make 120mm ecig.

To get any stronger than that you need to go fat battery model (Ego, riva 510 , Kgo etc) or mod so you have a 450mah+ battery and can use hotter LR low resistance cartomizers if you want.

You have seen the above. I recommend all but the regular ego battery. I was dissapointed. The Kgo, Riva are good choises and that KGO kit from hoosierecigsupply mentioned above is a great dealKGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit.

If you are stuck on a cig looking pv, you can't beat Bloog or Smokeless Image. Really long lasting pvs for "analog" style. 3-4 hours from the 78mm ones. (but there's a good chance you'll be back here in a month or so wanting more.....)

A great new PV on the market that is simple to use and no fuss is the Echo. Here is a good deal.....ECHO KITS : Cropduster901!, Home of the B-52 The 650mah batteries are no longer than the ones you are using but will last most of the day.

Good luck!.....(and don't forget to buy more juice)

KGO kit from hoosierecigsupply.com. Hits harder than an ego. Good battery life...longer than 4 hours even for me. Get some Boge 2.0ohm cartomizers to go with it, some eliquids ranging from 18-24mg, and a drip tip for easy refilling of cartomizers...and you're set.

hi brassballs, I just started myself and bought a v2ecig because it looked like a cigarette. it works as advertised but the tast of their proprietary juice is not good and in the long run it will cost you. I bought and ovale ego-c which i really like because of the built in tank. it is the right size and look for a conservative person. the battery last me over 3 hours and I got the startup kit which included a second complete setup, well worth the cost. a warning vaping is addictive (not the killer kind though ), and now I have more mods and a new hobby. I hope this helps you and congrats in advance :toast:

It's good that you have an idea of what you're looking for. I started with "slim" batteries and am one of the hardcore vapers of ecigs that look like analogs. You may want to consider a larger battery down the road.

For something that looks and acts like a traditional (analog) cig, I recommend vapeshot.com here stuff. Their kits are all-in-one type solutions and with as heavy a smoker as you say you are you'll need a PCC (Charge Case) to recharge you batteries. It's easy to use and has the popular 510 threading for the cartos so you will have options to upgrade later and still use your purchased cartos.

You could try another brand like V4L as well but you would most likely be re-charging too much and their kits with PCC's are about $30 more than the previously mentioned site.

Good luck!

im not sure i want an analog look alike because they seem to have a lot of performance issues. the KGO and E-power both look good, but at this point im more swayed to the E-power because its cheaper to replace the separate pieces. is there anyone who has had either model for an extended period of time? i would like to know if/what you had to replace. im very limited in money, so like i said, the e-power looks to be my favorite. hows the performance on the e-power?

I have a couple of e-powers and I don't know how many ego/type. I like the epowers better and I like my 14650 better than the 18650. I'd say buy the e-power if you can spring for 2 of them. If you can only get one, get the Kgo set becasue it has two batts and you'll have a backup. Trust me, everything fails eventually.

ok i think im going to go with the 2 e-powers, and im getting them from hoosier bc they have the blue led buttons. they seem to have a lot of interesting juice flavors on that site, but i cant find regular tobacco flavor (other than in 50ml bottles). where would be a good place to get tobacco flavor 5ml bottles?
and is there a type of tobacco flavor anyone would recommend? maybe something close to marlboros...
