I have been waiting for the prodigy to get back in stock, yesterday when the site was down for updating i read they had full stock of the prodigy ( atleast a 100 ) but as soon as the site went back online, each of the 3 models (510,801,901) still said 2-3 weeks to ship..and still says the same thing....

I tried to email them but no response...I am guessing they are out of stock? if not, which model is still in stock? been wanting to jump on one for sometime now, thanks!!!

maf -- Prodigy's are in stock.

I was curious about whether they were in stock also, until I found this thread.

I just ordered 2 Prodigy's today, Steve, and I just had one quick question...
Since they're in stock I'm assuming (and desperately hoping) that my two prodigy's should ship this week... is this the case or am I just kidding myself?

Thanks!

Okay... I am such a NUBE.. and really need help. I hate being the nube!! lol

Don't I need to buy backup batteries, atomizers and cartridges with the prodigy......

From everything I have read this website, I can invest a little extra now and save money later by having a machine that works.

Where do I buy the extra parts for the Prodigy?

I looked in the new members area and have searched for threads that might answer these questions but either overlooked them or just plain didn't find them.

I plan on being an exclusive drip style e-moker and think the prodigy will fit the bill.

Does anyone have a suggestion of which one to prodigy to buy? Also which extras I should get and where can I get them? I was at puresmoker.com and didn't see any extra parts available for purchase. Did I miss it at puresmoker?

Thanks in advance for any help you or anyone can give me.

Same page as the prodigy scroll down...what do you mean by parts? Atomizers and batteries will be the only real consumables you will need to buy, excluding liquid. They are on the same page as the prodigy just scroll down and there is a second page, at the bottom go to the next page. Also, if they are out of stock I don't think it will let you put them in the cart but I might be wrong on this.

Thanks I'll go back to their website and look. I swear there was no second page.. But I have read and looked at so many things I think my brain exploded! :)

Hi Never...

Yes... and no.. lol

I did find the 2nd page... wonder how many times I overlooked that???? You would think I was a nube to the internet! lol

I think it is just brain meltdown from trying to figure out what is best equipment, best price.

There are so many people debating each place and each e-cig.

The one with the most "good" reviews and virtually no bashes is the prodigy.

Now to just figure out which one 801, 901 or 510 and which extras to purchase... OY!

I would love to know what people like better about one than the other. I am trying to figure out how many extra batteries, atomizers, cartridges to get. I am assuming that it is best to buy them from puresmoke so that they will fit the prodigy. I am also curious about the pass-through thingy..

So yes, I found it, but I am still confusing myself, lol. Thank you for asking!

bubbe11, have you tried ecigs at all? Do you have a favorite between the 801, 901 and 510?
The nice thing about the Prodigy is the versatility. If you buy one kit such as the 801 and find you prefer something else, you can get a different adapter without buying a whole new rig. All you would need is the adapter and different atomizers.

Which kit to start with is a very personal decision. If you're just starting out, I would suggest the 801 as they seem to be the most forgiving for new vapers. You can always try other adapters later once you get the hang of the whole process.

The kit comes with everything you need to get started except the liquid which Steve sells also. It comes with 2 sets of batteries but if you'll be away from a charger for long periods of time you may want to order another set.
You defiantely need a spare atomizer or two. If you're sure which type you want go hog wild and order a bunch. Steve gives bulk discounts. Go to the atomizer of choice and click on "view quantity discount". If you're not sure whether you'll be happy with your choice just order a couple of spares to start.
You said you'd probably drip so no need for carts. Steve doesn't sell them, he recommends dripping.

So basically, you need a...
*Prodigy kit (either 801,901 or 510)
*E-liquid in a flavor that sounds good
*Spare atomizers that fit whichever kit you bought
*Maybe spare batteries (you can always get more later)

As far as the pass-through thingy :), it is also 5V like the Prodigy but requires an external 5V power supply. You'll need a wall plug USB, a Kensington Power Pack, external powered USB hub or something similar as it's not technically recommended to use the USB port on your computer, even though it is done by some. It is a cheaper alternative to trying 5V. Like the Prodigy it has different adapters for different atomizers. But these adapters aren't compatible with the Prodigy.

If you decide to go with the pass-through you'll need...
*Pass-through (801,901 or 510)
*Eliquid
*Spare atomizers

If you have any more questions, just ask. Somebody will jump in with an answer.

Never,

Thanks so much!

I actually purchased a DSE 901 from Rockymountain, a month or so ago. I, being the nube that I am bought an auto instead of a manual and I like it okay, have really just played at it and haven't got serious. I am sooo still on the learning curve. Have just now broke down and started watching the video tutorials. My daughter laughs at me when I try it, keeps reminding me "mom, it isn't pot, you don't have to hold the hit in"!! 8-o:lol::D

I knew that if I am going to get serious about this I needed backup sticks so I came back here to learn more and kept reading about the Prodigy and decided that I needed to bite the bullet and get the real thing! I would rather buy a good one and not spend 30-70 over and over on different e-cigs and then end up buying the prodigy anyway!

I placed an order Friday for a large sampler pack from Dawn and George and they were sweethearts! So I am okay on liquids and will probably place another order as soon as I find out which of those flavors I just love! :)

I think I am going to take your advice and get the 801, like you said I can always get the adapters and atomizer for the others later!

Thanks again for the info and taking the time to walk the neophyte along!

Yep you are doing it right. I tried all the other models before getting the best. I could have saved a lot of money by just getting the Prodigy first. You are making the right choice with the 801 too. Heck, Steve uses that one so what does that tell you. The 801 being larger can handle the higher voltages better than the 901/510. Those work good but give you a different taste to your juices. I started with the 901 but now switching to the 801.

Dawn is great and her juices are some of the best out there. Also a good choice. You have really done your homework well.
