Surely there's a clone out there somewhere? I've never heard of it and even if I had I wouldn't vape it with all that colourant in it....yewwwh :p

I don't know why everyone isn't into DIY at those prices

Several clones for Pluid out there.

Hadn't really thought about diying it, now going to go and research it and spend money again :)

I love pluid, but $20 for a 30 mil bottle is just too expensive, you can get a discount if buy 4 bottles, but $72 for 120 mils is still to rich for me.

Also if you do get it, dedicate one tank to it, as you will have a real hard time, ever getting the flavor out of it
    And it's a tank cracker

Personally, I won't vape juice that's green, blue...bright primary colors, etc...it just seems sort of sketchy to me. What is in it that would cause it to be that color?
I'm pretty sure they use food coloring to make it green. It wouldn't be Pluid if it wasn't green to look like radiator fluid. See my trivia history lesson earlier in this thread.

It sure is, found that out early on with any licorice/anise flavors.
Or cinnamon or citrus flavors. These flavors only dissolve polycarbonate plastic (clear) tanks, like first generation clearomizers. Plastic tanks made of polygycol plastic (frosted or opaque) or glass are safe to use.

Who uses plastic tanks these days?
Most of my tanks are, especially my Steam Tuners. I do have a few glass too, so either way it doesn't bother me. If I like a look or tank and its plastic, no problem it's not an issue... If I had to choose, probably prefer plastic as I wouldn't have to worry so much on breaking them

Who uses plastic tanks these days?
I do every day. I have no need for glass tanks with my daily mix. The weight savings and durability work for me. I save glass for my more exotic and corrosive flavors, but I've eliminated most of the corrosive ones. I'm no longer comfortable inhaling flavors regularly that will melt/cloud/crack plastic.

When I was first vaping with cartos those issues never crossed my mind - I was just happy to stop smoking and thought of vaping as a short term process. Eight years in, I've been cutting back flavorings in general since they are likely the least healthful part of my vape. I now expect to vape for the foreseeable future so cumulative stuff is in my thoughts.

About Pluid - after seeing and tasting it at a vape meet in 2013, the intense flavor and coloring made me really question what was in my liquid. I started diluting many premixes, then took the next step. Pluid led me to DIY, so in that sense it was a game changer!

Found a clone recipe and got the flavors in today (not the 3 on the right) so will be mixing up the clone this weekend, been a long time since had pluid, so not sure I will give a fair comparison though.

Probably not as popular as the previous two flavors, I do like very much Castle Long by Five Pawns. I always tell folks you'll either love it, or hate it...no in between with this one.

Castle Long is a a Kentucky bourbon mixture with hints of coconut, roasted almonds sprinkled with brown sugar, with 2 types of vanilla.
I tried to get some of that during a great sale someplace around Christmas, but it was sold out. Doubt if I'll bother with it now that I've started DIY'ing. And realized that I have no need for tobacco flavors.

Just noticed this thread. By the way, I love black licorice (and jagermeister) Please be aware that jager has many plant extracts in it (so does absinth) We call it "the medcine"... great cough syrup, but drink it in moderation. Myself and many friends have "flipped out" from too much! If you did make vape juice with it, it could also be dangerous (of course I would totally try it... a little bit and see how it goes)

Castle Long is not a tobacco flavor. I only compared it to the pipe tobacco I had used when I used to smoke a pipe and Castle Long is primarily a bourbon flavor.

There was a DIY Castle Long clone recipe on the forum a few years back. It required several different flavors so I never bothered attempting it. You could use google to find a recipe.

Edit: I found this one. Castle Long Clone You can find others by using Google.

Castle Long is not a tobacco flavor. Only because I had smoked a Bourbon flavored tobacco when I used to smoke a pipe and Castle Long is primarily a bourbon flavor reminded me of that tobacco.

Huh. For some reason, I had it in my head that it was. My stupid brain even added the word "tobacco" to the description. Weird.

Anyway, thanks for the recipe. I have all the ingredients, though not all are TPA. I'll look for others and see how they all compare. I'd like to try it. Well, I'd like to try the real thing, but I don't think I can bear to buy it now that I've invested in so many flavors.
