Within the last month I started using the Volt cig-a-like occasionally in public. I really didn't get much weird responses to my Twists, usually a "what's that?", but when I did I didn't mind. The Volt is fun because occasionally autos are a nice change of pace and I get a lot more people that say whey would like to try ecigs after seeing me use my cig-a-like. I have a friend who is used to seeing me with a Twist mention "now that I can see myself using" with the cig-a-like.

No experience with a Blu, but the Volt kr8 with a low resistance carto or nano clearomizer gives great performance, altho of course not as good as dripping on variable voltage.

Well the majority of things I've heard about the blucigs is that they work great. But I can vouch for the awesomeness that is a T3 on a twist. I've got all the big boy toys, but I still rock a T3 and a twist. It's a fantastic vape. I think once you become better acquainted with vaping (this is me assuming you're fairly new to it) you'll start to enjoying people seeing it and asking questions. At least that's how it went for me personally.

There is a strong possibility that the blucig will no longer satisfy you, simply because of the convenience factor that a T3 offers. You can fill it up and the beginning of the day and vape it all day. And not have to worry about swapping batts at lunch because the little blue batts have died (if you aren't a chain vaper that is). So yeah, I wish you all the best and hope all our input helps somewhat. :toast:

I have three type of batteries that I use: cig-like, eGos, and a Provari. I'll use my Provari at home with tanks or atomizers. I'll use my eGos at work with tanks or cartomizers. If I'm going out for dinner or somewhere for a few hours I'll take my cig-likes (I'll take eGos if I think I'll be out longer). For whatever reason, I like RY4 (e.g., a tobacco flavor) exclusively on my cig-likes (I don't vape RY4 on my other batteries). I use these openly or easily stealthy. I still like the form factor and the cigarette feel.

Back when I used cig-a-likes I used them in public all the time. But mine were always interesting colors like red, blue, black, green, gold, etc. So they didn't really look like cigarettes. Plus the little blue light on the end was a real clue.

I don't really use them anymore, but I do use a small 18350 APV called the 3.7 Gripper in public more so that any of my other APVs because it's so small it "disappears" into my hand and is to far removed from looking like a cigarette that in the event I even do get challenged about it (not that's it's happened yet) I can just say "it's my respiratory inhaler" and walk away. I mean..what can they say really? My juice even has that menthol-ly sort of smell like medicine might have! lol!!!

But no one ever bothers me about it. I've left my Gripper sitting on a table out in the open next to me in the waiting rooms at the Mayo Clinic routinely. I even had some nurses helping me hunt for a Volt X2 I'd dropped on campus. They knew what it was we were looking for because I told them. No problem.

Just received my lavatube 2 for an early xmas present. I vape with that and my vivi nova in public now. Even though I find it easier to take my vision spinner with me when I go out. Went to San Diego and vaped in public all the time, the zoo however was more of a 'find a spot to take a quick vape' and stealth all the way.

At the hotel I had all the smokers asking me questions when I went outside with the wife so she could have an analog. She still is not on board yet.

MY coworkers and boss joke about my Mod looking like some kind of space aged crack pipe...boy you better hope a cop don’t pull you over with that thing...most people don’t care...or see the vapor and think I'm smoking..with required cough in my direction or ask me ... is that thing, ....relax, use what makes you happy...and next month when your using a quad stack 18650 club mod with a 2 liter bottle RBA tank mod on top of it, complete with tripod, people will still not care what your doing, or will still give you the you should stop smoking lecture.

I use Volts in public because it draws no attention. If I break out my LT with the
carto/tank on top, I get stared down from all directions and yes the police are
known to hassle vapers with the mods.

Only difference with me is I think those little carts are worthless so I use the Kanger 808
1ml clearos, tremendous vapor production and long lasting.

I work around law enforcement officers, local, county, state and federal .. I do so openly in our designated smoking area and yes, I get a few looks. But this is a good thing! It causes the LEO's to become use to seeing the things. Only one has asked about it and he was more glad I stopped smoking than worried I was doing something illegal ... of course, I also vape at my desk... no one has complained. In fact several of the smokers picked up cigalikes so that could try it also. But they don't compare to the umph of a 6ml tank! :)

I vape my ProVari or my Zmax in public. I really don't care what others think. I just don't get enough of the throat hit I desire on smaller sized PV's. I do what I need to do to keep off the analogs & that is about 9.5 watts. The little ones either can't supply 9.5 watts or at least can't supply it for long! I've been vaping exclusively for over 16 months & I don't EVER want to go back to stinkies.

I'm planning on getting something in the VV arena sometime soon, but right now I'm using the Turbo EZ exclusively... it's small enough not to draw attention, and when I do get a larger unit, the heads are interchangeable with the Kanger T2s (the Turbo EZ is a rebranded Kanger S1). I pulled out my 808's the other day and tried them... there's no way I could go back to something that small and underpowered, and the cartomizers are a major pain to keep topped up. I've never really had anyone notice me using my PV except in a local bar, and the owners had already given me the OK to vape.

In the beginning I felt a bit uneasy vaping on my joyetech eGO/510 900mah passthrough with a Stardust, but I got used to it. After getting my ProVari, I decided that I enjoy a good vape and it's not my problem if those around me are ignorant; If they inquire, I'm happy to give them all the information I can. I carry a few CASAA business sized cards with me and hand them out when approached.

After serving in Germany, there's NO kind of staring here in the States that bothers me in the least; I think it's a national passtime of the Germans...

That said, I'm not approached very often; the ProVari with an Ody clone looks odd to begin with, not to mention I have long, greying hair and beard. I probably appear to be some sort of neo-hippy to most folks :)

This is your life so live it. I treat others as I'd like them to treat me. With so much going on in my life, I don't have time to think about what others are thinking about me.

Well, don't worry, you're not alone. I know of plenty of people who prefer using a cig-a-like in public for the same reason. It seems like most of them move on and start using their larger PVs eventually. It's a common enough hang-up.

This doesn't include me, though. I've never wanted anyone to think I was smoking. I have two mini-cigs from 777 and neither of them look anything like an analog. One's purple with a purple light and the other one is blinged out like mad rhinestone encrusted. I usually have my ego battery with a T3, T4 or mini Vivi Nova hanging around my neck on my laynard, though. People always ask me if it's a pen

I see every question from a stranger or friend as an opportunity to educate and I love it :)

wait to do so during lunch/bathroom breaks. But really, life is more fun when you're not so tied up in meaningless judgement from others.

agreed. i take a bathroom break every 45-60 minutes b/c im not allowed to vape at my desk. but i do all day in the mens room (just like in high school)
