Does everyone follow a recipe?

I am the same way. Probably why I am a good cook but not great with baking desserts.. when dealing with flour/water/baking powder/soda mixtures the measurements need to be exact. I will generally use a recipe as a guideline and just wing it. Only problem is it never tastes the same twice.. its almost always really good, but always at least a little different each time.

It takes such a loooooong time for some of the tobacco flavors to meld together and my fresh juice to actually reach its prime, I would not be able to reproduce it if I didn't keep notes.
My juice doesn't seem to reach its prime for about a week after mixing, I'd be doing good if I could remember what I had for lunch two days ago!

I made this fantastic juice, once, and have never been able to do that again. So I started keeping notes and making precise measurements

Word! My favorite concoction was a chocolate butterscotch mix that didn't taste that great until I started adding drops of this and that here and there. When I finally stumbled upon nirvana, I had no idea how I got there and haven't been able to come even close since. If you are more of a "pinch of this and a dash of that" person rather than a drop and millimeter person, at least write down your pinches and dashes so you can come reasonably close next time around. That's my 2 cents anyways.
