9-17-2013. I had received my first kit three days earlier, thinking it would help me cut down. Nothing else had helped me quit, so I didn't think vaping would either. That first day, instead of 1.5 packs, I smoked 4 analogs. The next, maybe three, and three or four the next day. On the 17th, my mother-in-law had surgery, a biopsy. She had already been diagnosed with 2 areas of cancer, and this was to see if they were the same type.

I knew I cold finally QUIT when I got through that day without a single cigarette.

Not long after that surgery, she had to go into Hospice. They allowed her to vape there, which was such a relief to us all. She would have been so miserable without her nicotine! She was less afraid of dying than of not being able to smoke.

My sis-in-law also quit - her date is one week after mine.

Not so much the day, but the experience, yeah. Saw my friend vaping on an MVP, which he said had got him completely off analogs(of course he didn't say analogs back then, and I didn't know what that meant back then). But after a few meetings I had him get me one. At first it wasn't a completely sufficient substitution for analogs. Then I ran out of cigs one day, and was too lazy to go get more. Been Vaping ever since. About 8 months, now.

I was planning to smoke to the day I die. On march 13, 2014 I was in the tobacco store buying my usual 2 cartons/week I saw they had ego twists and evods in blister packs. I had some extra money so I bought that also, just to have a new toy, no intention of quitting. That day I smoked my last cig. I had to look at my bank statement to find the date, it seems so long ago

I bought my first cig alike back in 2009. Joined ECF lurked and read... Used it for a bit but it was cig alike was crap and I got lazy.

My nephew bought me an ego set up for my birthday (June) last year. Sister & I played around with them for about a month before the nephew started making his own juice that was way better than the china juice we were vaping. I bought 4 bottles of juice from my nephew on July 27th. Played around all weekend with vaping and boy it tasted so much better.

On Monday July 29th I smoked my first 2 of 4 cigs I had left and took my cig alike to work. Used it all day without smoking a cigarette.
Came home, did errands, sat down to have the my celebratory smoke, 2 left in pack. Smoked both back to back. Put out the last one and said to myself, man that tastes like crap. I like that cinnamon red hot more than the taste of that nasty cigarette.

That was Monday, July 29, 2013 @ 6:05 pm EST. 9 packs left in my carton, sold 8, keep 1 pack in freezer. I was a 2PAD smoker for 30 years, never thought I'd quit. Now I have 5 other family members who are also smoke free in my life!
Life is so good!

I also want to thank everyone on the forum for giving me back my life and helping me stay smoke free! Your answers, information, and guidance are worth more to me than I can ever repay, so I try to pay my knowledge forward and convince other smokers they can quit!

That is exactly what happened to me, bought it on a whim. I used both for awhile but smoked my last stick on valentines day.

What I mean is the exact date and time you started. All remember is it was sometime around Christmas of 2010  . And my oh my how things have changed haha.

Only because I can look up when I ordered the Blucig starter kit I started off with in my emails. From that date, March 12 2014, it took about 3 days to get to me. As soon as it arrived I started vaping (if that is what you can call sucking on a Blu Cig E-Cigarette. Blu Sucks).

April 4th, 2014 around 10am. It was an early birthday present from my parents. Took me to the local B&M and patiently waited while the staff helped me pick out my gear and while I sampled flavors. Walked out with a kanger aerotank and smok vv winder. Started with bluberry RY4. I've since graduated to bakery flavors. My parents are great and very happy I have quit smoking after 36 years.
