Does flavor affect vapor?

I was wondering if certain flavors seem to vape better than others. The reason I ask is because I'm still going through the variety pack of carts I got with my blu (yeah, yeah) and it seems like the menthol and vanilla produce a LOT of vapor, while the "classic tobacco" and "cherry crush" not so much. Is it just the juice blu uses, or is this an issue with other PVs and other juices?

I think it's a combination of the juice and the cart. Prefilled carts have a notorious history of tasting bad, not vaping well and getting a burnt taste rather quickly. I've never had this issue with any of the PV's I currently use, but I refill with juice that I've either made or purchased from vendors.

Thanks for the response! So far, I haven't had an issue with them burning, but it's true the blu prefilleds don't have much taste. It's just odd that I get quite a bit of vapor (but almost no taste) with the menthol and also taste AND vapor with the vanilla, but the tobacco and cherry don't have much taste and about half the vapor of the menthol and vanilla. I was hoping it was nothing to do with the flavor, because it's hard enough to choose a juice from all the great flavors out there without having to worry that one flavor won't vape as well as another. The reason I was wondering, too, is I used to make soap, and some of the colors would make the soap set up way faster than others, so I know that even though it seems like something that's such a small part of the ingredient shouldn't have an effect, sometimes it does. I guess that means I can feel free to explore any flavor I want!

I was hoping you would get some good answers to this question. I've been wondering the same thing. Maybe some will get on here and let us know.

I wonder if it has something to do with smoother flavors being easier to vape than tobacco/fruit ones that tend to run a bit "harsher"? For example, you could take a nice toot off of vanilla or menthol, because it's smooth, but you may feel the need to cut a puff shorter when vaping a tobacco flavor, because it feels like you're taking in too much vapor.

Since you are talking about flavors that you also don't know the PG/VG base ratio of...

1. VG makes more vapor, TH lets through more TH. Some juice companies recommend high PG mixes for tobaccos but ratios with more VG for fruit flavors to make it smoother - like some of FreedomSmokeUSA's fruity/desserty flavors are only available in a fixed 50/50 PG/VG ratio, but with their tobaccos you can get a wide variety of ratios, even all the way to full PG if you want.

2. Flavoring replaces some of the space in the mix for things that would make vapor. Some flavors are weaker and a larger volume of flavoring needs to be added, and that reduces the amount of glycols in the juice so can reduce TH and vapor

3. I don't know if any flavorings can interact in others ways to adversely affect vapor production. never heard of that.

Since it's the prefilled blu carts that use Johnson Creek, I'm assuming they are full PG. The funny thing is that the ones that have the most vapor seem to have the most flavor (although none of the flavors are all that strong). Since I'm assuming (and I think correctly) that all the carts in my starter kit use the same base (and are all the same nic level, 8 mg) the only difference should be the flavoring, so that's what is making me wonder if the flavor is affecting the vapor.

I wish that was the case! Unfortunately, even though I'm happy with the blu, the carts do suck as far as flavor (way too weak), and I will be refilling on my own!
