Does it taste different at Zero Nic ?

I did some, diy taste testing using 100%vg no nic and the lack of throat hit made it boring to vape. The absence of that peppery nic taste was not missed at all. Overall it doesn't taste that different just lacks the nicotine sensation

I switch flavors frequently. My smellers become habituated to one smell, and it mutes. Once you have gotten rid of the masochistic love for that prickly taste in the throat, the awakened sense of smell becomes a big motivator.
I vape Zero nicotine but have tried juices w/ nicotine in it (just did today) and I'm not a fan. I can't stand the peppery taste and the throat hit/stinging sensation is too strong for me. It's hard for me to taste the flavor beyond that peppery taste but the nicotine definitely helps with the throat hit. I don't see why it would effect the flavor outside of the nicotine taste (peppery) itself. I would suggest a higher PG mix to help w/ that and it also enhances the flavor.
I'm vaping zero nicotine as I'm never a smoker, but some of my friends let me vape on their E-cigs that have nicotine content in their juices, the lack of throat hit makes vaping zero nicotine juices boring to vape.
With DIY, I can taste a big difference in 0mg (what I mix an initial sample at) and 8-12 mg (my standard mix once I know I'll like the flavor). To me, the 0mg has less flavor, and is much more muted. Adding the nicotine seems to enhance the flavors and give it depth. FWIW, I use a non-peppery nic that is fairly tasteless.
I didn't know they made non peppery nicotine lol. Every juice I've tried with it has that same weird taste to me.
