Does nic. content determine throat burning?

I have 16mg Marlboro carts. I wouldn't call it throat hit (at least not like cigs which is a good, smooth throat feeling), but these burn the roof of your mouth and throat. Not hot burn, more like habanero pepper burn - So bad that my husband can't inhale (smoker for 35 years) without choking. They burn me too, but not to choking. And it goes away as soon as you stop vaping.

Would lower nic. level be smoother?

Also, am I weird or does this happen to anyone else - vaping makes me crave a real cigarette! I will vape for 5 minutes, put it down and light up a cigarette!

Me again! I just remembered I had the black carts that came with the original kit and it is also 16mg - put one on - it doesn't burn. So what could it be? It doesn't make near as much vapor though. The new brown carts are vapor craziness.

VG I use 24mg on my VK and I have used the 16mg and I find it has a kick, ( which I really like) however, My wife and kid find it hard.
If I draw real smooth it does not have that kick, when I draw like a doobie ( excuse me for that comparison, if you are not aware of what doobie is) then it gives me a real horse kick, But I do love that

When I have a lower nic level, it seems to be much more mellow
I do not find any urge at all to smoke an analog at all, especially after my VK vape. I smoked 3 pks a day and walked away from them, the first draw of an ecig, I hope yhou can get there yourself, soon, of all the cigs I vape, I find the VK, like analogs the most, whether that is a good thing, I guess that is up to the user

I personaly did not like the black ones, and specificallly requested more throat hit, like my original's. I wish we all had the same likes, dislikes8-o

Hey My wife uses, 84 mini, pilot from PS and a super, with the standard carts and I add juice when they are low, she has not gone vape crazy the way I have, My kid, has a 103 BUT WANTS WHAT I HAVE and I aint giving her nothing anymore, She still smokes analogs,. so until she stops them totally, she is on the 103 with camel juice

The VK is an unusual cig, Although, it looks great and feels great and vapes very well, the carts can be a bot harsh, Again I like that, but I can see how others are bothered by it. Maybe, try to drip a smooth juice to the cart from the battery side and see if that may help. It is worth trying. Even though I own and use literally every item out there, plus I have gotten into mods, big time I still have ordered another VK for backup and con tinue to buy his carts, There is another actually 2 other VK act alikes out, the Zeus and the Vaporello, I understand they are similiar, although I am sure Smilin will not agree, You may want to consider those as alternatives as well

Thank you - I understand the daughter thing! I have the M401 from Dietsmoker, and like it ok, but it is nothing like the VK - this thing rocks! I just need to find the right combo of flavor and throat feel for my husband. His cig is Marlboro Lights. He doesn't like RY4 either, said it smells like apples! ??? I smell pipe tobacco and really like it.

I'll just keep searching for that perfect flavor from Smilin.

I really liked the 16mg black cart that came with my VK. Any chance of getting more of them? (I know, everyone's tastes are different).

It might not be a problem with the nicotine level and could be a problem with the propylene glycol.

I have a SmokingEverywhere GOLD (RN4081) that I used for about two months running nothing but cartridges. I just didn't know any better. After finding out about using just liquids and refilling carts I noticed that my throat started becoming very dry and raw and throat hit is turning to throat burn.

Reading around the forums I discovered that this type of problem is not uncommon being related to using PG and many people seem to say using vegetable glycerin alleviates it.

I suspect SmokingEverywhere uses VG to make their carts and that is why I had no problem for two months then started developing a problem after switching to PG based liquids. In one of my visits to the SmokingEverywhere kiosk the guy did tell me that the carts were 'vegetable based' but usually if a SE salesperson is speaking that means they are lying so i disregarded that comment till it started seeming like it might be true.

I have some VG liquids that were shipped from JohnsonCreek yesterday. I am looking forward to getting them and finding out if that is indeed my situation. In the mean time I just keep using the PG liquids I have and I grin and bear it since it is still better than cigarettes.

I thought it was worth mentioning and as soon as my liquid arrives and I find out I will post back again.
