I've always wondered why PP takes this position. Just your standard CYA or did they have early bad experiences with shady vendors. There used to be a number of shady types. I think people are more educated now.

I've emailed them several times trying to find out why and they never give me a straight answer. They treat it like we are doing illegal drugs. I think all vapers should take the time to drop them an email!

That's why all the classys say 'no mention of ecigs' in their payment instructions. The Precious line of ecigs (From Romania) had their ordering done through PP and one ..... who had a problem (and complained to PP stating they hadn't gotten their ecig -- cough, cough, socal, cough, cough:laugh:) caused them to shut down for weeks now as they look for a new international method they feel comfortable with. One of the few threads I have ever started was staing that I Hate Paypal!!!:thumb:

When did m0r0n become a bad word?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: I'll edit if need be...........:vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor:

Someone should post the paypal complaint site so that we can organize a email campaign to restore reputable vendors selling ecigs and accessories. Some in the USA still use paypal and it makes it easy and quick and some got booted 2 years back or more, because they were early entrepreneurs. If the FDA approved the sales of ecigs, then Paypal shold support this activity to protect their online buyers.

I'll probably be banned for suggesting this!

Problem is, now that the FDA classified it as a tobacco product, it'd be even harder to get PayPal to budge. And once PP makes a policy, they usually never go back - in fact, they usually just get more strict. So, as much as I would love to rage against the machine, I know this one isn't worth the time. :-/

Paypal is against e-cigs, pr0n... they are basically the morality police. Still waiting on a viable competitor to put the holier than thou Paypal in it's place.

Why would you want to buy ecigs? Paypal knows whats better for you :blush:

There are a couple threads about this in the legislation section. The FDA went after paypal and they caved.

In europe, at least in Holland, Germany, UK and Spain, wher I use them, because I,m traveling all the time, no problem at all with pay pal. I believe they really need a strong competiter in the USA. Here in Europe they have to fight stronger to hold their position in the market, and are more polite to their customers.

Interesting feedback, I did not know FDA went after them. Seems ashame that there is no competition to PP and becuase of that I have to re-enter my name, address, credit card etc over and over on some of the supplier sites. Also, if a supplier ever gets hacked and the cusotmer database is stolen, there goes the credit card info etc. That happened a few weeks ago when I ordered some batteries and attys from a well know supplier and the next day, Bank of America called about an online purchase fraud of $330.00 for perfume?!! What a hassle to cancel the credit card and then wait for a new one and then re-enter all the old supplers websites!

E-cigs users are too small of a demographic right now and there was too much misinformation spread about it. Unfortunately there are a lot of multi-billion dollar companies who have no problem throwing money around to protect their interests...

There is plenty of competition to paypal, but unfortunately it cant offer the same discounts paypal can. Think of it like buying a pair of boots at WalMart vs your local shoe store...
