does the 901 get too hot?

Hey guys.

Seeing something odd here, and maybe someone can tell me the problem:

With my GG i have the 901 atty's i ordered from Totally Wicked, and i have my dura-c adapters, which i got from janty for use with the dura-c. I ordered my GG with the adapter for the 510 - and its the only one im using at the moment. The reason is that the 901's seem to "burn" the taste too much - if i drop 3 drops in ( any more than that and it will flood ) then i can take like 2-3 puffs, maybe, and then its reaaally bad.

On the 510 i have no problems; i can get like between 9-14 puffs before it then begins to vaguely taste bad, and i know i have to redrip.

So i put on a 901 today and i looked down into the atty while firing it and it was as bright as a lightbulb. I mean it was supernova bright =)

When i did the same with my 510, then it looked like i imagined it should, - ie nothing for 1 sec, then it lights up, but doesnt look too wild - just .. as it should.

So im thinking, the 901 adapters from totally wicked, maybe they run too hot for use with this? Not that they cant be used, but that maybe i should get 901's from somewhere else? Cause these 901's i have, work perfectly in other ecigs i have?

So - could the above be true, has anyone else experienced it, - and does anyone have any atomizers they prefer and can recommend (both 510, and 901) - link please

I know this problem with the 901's. I bought the 510 adapter and the 801 adapter.
I can use the 510 and 801 with GG and the juice flavor is excellent. With the 901 that is not so. It makes the juice burnt to hot with the 901's. So the flavor is not anywhere as good as the 510 or 801. The best flavor is from the 801 atomizer. The 510 has a nice smooth vapor. I have mostly totally wicked 901 atomizers. I have other 901 atomizers. They all perform this way with GG.

I do not get that awful burnt taste with the 901. It is the flavor problem of the juices.
I think the 901's atomizers cannot take the 6v that good.

And yea i would _love_ to get an 801 adapter, but Tim mentioned they were out of stock and being "redone" ?

I do not realize this problem until my new 801 atomizer came in Saturday.
I couldn't believe the nice taste of my juice with it. I than realize that the 901 atomizers have a problem with the GG. I had the adapter longer than this. I just didn't have any good 801 atomizers.

I must mention that I got the Sedansa atomizer. I am not sure if it is better tasting than other 801 atomizers. That Sedansa atomizer is a atomizer that has a 5 year warranty.

fills the throat warmly, and taste is very good,
flava is very much enhanced over the 901
I think the 901 burns the liquid, ----

I really do love the 801,
but I am falling in love with this 510
Iken reccomended me to try,
I really do think it is an excellent atty,
the smoke it produces is phenominal----
I will be getting many more of the 510 attys
and a 510 adapter .

if you block a couple of the holes on your 801 atty
it will tighten up the draw honey ---------GG5 -- ha ha --------

I am just hoping that this sedansa atty is 10 times better than all the others
it would need to be really a helluuva lot better to justify the price,

altho a few peeps have said thet they really do honour that loooooooooooong warranty,
so that is a very good selling point ---

Di, you smoke 3.6v too...and there's still a difference with the 801's eh? I like the 901's fine with my Nano, but maybe I should try the 801's too then, to get the real juice Nirvana. Hmmmm. Ach...and I thought I was going to get to rest my Paypal for a while <sigh>

yes, up till now, last week actually,
I have only ever smoked 801
with 3.0 and 3.7V
and yes, I love it,
warm smoke, and good flava of juice,
I find even with lower voltage batts,
I am not happy with the 901 atty
it needs juicing too often, it's a PITA for me,
and it gets the burned juice flava too quick ---

the 801 gives me 60 -80 puffs on 3.7 volts
and that is good for me

the only thing now tho is that I am loving the 510
so I dont want you to go running off after 801's,
cos I think the 510 might be as good or better
so I think you will have to either ask others for confirmation
or buy one, and figure it out yourself -----

Haven't tried on my upcoming GG yet, but at normal voltages, 510 > M201 > DSE801.

The M201 is a penstyle, looks identical to a DSE801 from the outside..same threads, but it has a pair of holes in the battery thread. An M201 atty *might* work on the GG 801 adapter, will give it a try, or drill it when I get mine.

At 3.7v, they're all reasonably close, but the 510 gets more vapor and throat hit over the M201 by a bit, which itself is a little better than the 801. I see no reason to believe this would change *if* running your GG at 3.7vDC. At 6+ volts...no way to even guess until I have mine in hand.
