Does the Protank ever suffer from dry hits, flooding, leaks etc?

I have a friend who has a Protank and he says it never produces dry hits, even at 5.5 V, and never leaks, flood, is very consistent. I'm kinda skeptical that one can chain vape at 5.5V and not produce dry hits.

Is it really that good? What is your experience?

5.5v on a protank sounds strange.

Any protank that I have uses 1.5 - 2.5 ohms.. seems like 5.5v would be scorching hot?

Never is a long time...

I have, among other toppers, a couple PT1, PT2, mini, and so on. Sometimes the coil/head will come slightly loose (can unscrew a tad when opening to fill), and they can leak then.

Flavor wicks were mentioned. Too much for the mix, and you may get a dry hit. Too little and you may leak. Too much and you may overdraw and flood.

But once you learn the care and feeding of them, they're are pretty darn reliable. (I think that's true of all our toppers. I happen to prefer bottom coils.)
