Does the Vapor Dissapate or Remain in the Air ? How about Smell ?

I too was a bit concerned over this issue. I wanted to be able to vape at work without anyone knowing at times. What I did was as someone earlier suggested was hold in my drag for longer before exhaling. That took care of the clouds of vapor. As for smell....I am a super sweet vape person and the only comments I have ever been told is that my office smells good. Of course that is immediately(maybe 30 seconds or so)after me vaping. I use a 50/50 mix but also have used others too. Good luck =)

Some flavors and brands deff have some different smells to them for instance im vaping on a pepermint at the moment (festive) haha and honestly it kinda smells like feet o_O but tastes like an amazing candy cane, i also have a chocolate peanut butter cup it taste really good but the smell is STRONG it smells good but wow does one drag really make the whole room smell like peanut butter for a short time. things like mint or menthol im sure people around you would pass it off as chewing gum if they didn't see the vapor and if u have to take nice big drags just hold it in and don't exhale right away and it really cuts down on the amount of vapor you exhale that's what i do when my boss is around =P he still has no clue i have an ecig lmao

... But on Christmas Day I was vaping with one of my e-pipes around family members, who thought it was a real pipe at first. I was using a very flavorful liquid that tastes for all the world like genuine pipe tobacco smoke. When I explained it was an e-pipe, one remarked "I was wondering why I couldn't smell it!" So that eased my concerns about vaping offending the nostrils of those around me.

Also a fellow snuser btw :). Good to see another snus user checking in. Welcome! I still smoke real pipes, but between snusing and now vaping, I have drastically reduced the amount I smoke compared to a few years ago, and I am better able to enjoy life and relax in places and times smoking is not an option.

That is awesome regarding the pipe. Snus ...!

Some flavors are very strong on exhale, while others are not. If you are too concerned with the smell, maybe something with a coffee overtone would be perfect for the office. Nobody would think twice about smelling that right?? hehe.

I also believe that disposables and pre-filled cartos are made with minimal flavoring. As we adjust to vaping and start ordering samples, we find juices made with more flavoring. More flavoring=more scent. We just seem to get to the point that we don't want a hint of butterscotch candy in our juice, we want our juice to taste like a butterscotch candy! Does that make sense?

I have a coffee machine generating coffee for 8 hours straight at work: great idea. Yes, my "Menthol" finity carts are not nearly as menthol as I would prefer. In fact I only find them slightly more menthol than the non-menthol that they offer.

Sometimes I wonder if I should just be brazenly open about it rather than cover it up at work. I vape in class constantly (except for one class with only 12 people, in there I blow under my desk) and people around me ask what is going on, and when I explain it to them they simply think it is cool. These same people give me .... about smoking cigarettes but encourage me to vape in class as I don't have to take a cigarette break during a team project or w/e. So at work, about 10% of us smoke in the office and we are constantly going outside and around the back, which takes about 9-12 minutes all said and done. You would think the bosses would prefer us to vape for 8 hours straight rather than loose 10 minutes 4-8 times per day (40-80 minutes paid breaks are clearly uneconomical).

I have been using a chocolate flavored juice in my dct tank on provari. Today I was sitting outside and the cloud of vapor was riding the wind and going around the corner of the house about ten feet from where I was sitting. It looked just like it would if you were smoking a cigarette. but yeah, the vapor won't hang in the air like cig smoke.

Hi there,

I have been using a Finiti e-cigarette from Walgreen (Yes, I know I am a noob) for the past 4 weeks. I use it in combination with snus and snuff and have reduced from 20 cigarettes to 4 per day.

I am puffing on the Finiti at all times, indiscriminately. I work as an intern in a government office with my own cubical. There are four cubicals in my section, with only one other person sharing the adjacent cube. I make sure to blow my vapor in the opposite direction as him, and I blow it down into my lap rather than horizontally, so that by the time it reaches the top of the cubical it has completely dissipated. In summary, the Finity completely dissipates.

I have read many posts on this forum indicating that most e-cigaretes do not dissipate but leave a pool of vapor in the room? Seriously? I can't understand this. At my apartment, where I literally can puff for hours straight in a small room, there is no visible vapor remaining in the room, period. None at all. And there is absolutely no smell. The main reason I am so impressed with my e-cig is that I can do it anywhere and can not get complaints about it, for there is no visible or smellable evidence of what I am doing.

But now I would like to save money and terminate my relationship with my Finity.

[TLDR] I am under the impression that some e-cigarettes leave vapor and smell in the room while other e-cigarettes (like Finity) dissipate in two seconds and do not smell at all. How am I supposed to ascertain whether or not a particular e-cigarette will dissipate or not?[/TLDR]

Thank you!

I was standing outside a pizza place vaping while waiting for a table and a random drunk smoker walked up to me and said (in a very serious voice, like he was telling me something I REALLY needed to know) "hey! Your smoke smells like cookies!" and then walked away.

LMFAO!

I was outside a bar in the smoking area with cig smokers and someone asked me for a pull. Assuming that I knew what he meant, I said " Sorry this isn't a pipe..." He replied "Ohhh, Is that what smells like cotton candy?" hehehe

Do you go outside to smoke with the smokers because it is fun/social, out of habit, or uncomfortable with vaping inside?

Mainly the social aspect but I do like to be conscious of how others are reacting to it. I've been in restaurants while someone is vaping and I find it presumptive of them to think noone would mind (they may have asked permission though). I personally will ask the establishment if I may vape inside -if the setting seems comfortable but never in a food venue. I've worked both front and back(kitchen) in bars and restaurants and have a pretty good idea of what most people find acceptable. This is a personal choice though and, like anything you do in public, other people may disagree with my procedure. I personally choose to take steps to avoid confrontation concerning my use. Most people don't know enough about e-cigs for me to assume they know its not like second hand smoke AND I don't want to manifest negative perception with arrogance and self-righteous posturing.

The vapor goes away quickly, but the smell does not. I notice some juices leave a bad smell in the room, while others don't. The room will smell like the flavor you are using though. The little e-cigarettes you get at the gas station don't leave a noticeable smell behind at all in my experience, it's just when you move up to larger vaporizer.
