Halo's Turkish Tobacco is my favorite blending juice. It has that bit of spice, and I have read about spices being notorious tank cracking culprits. As the saying goes: twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern. I just had my third mini-tank crack. Each had a different blend, but all contained at least 1/3 Turkish.

All three were smoke colored, but that probably is a coincidence because I have 9 mini-tanks with different flavors that I rotate. All different colors, but the smoke ones are my tobacco blends (get it? :) ) I use these on G6 batteries.

Has anyone else had this problem? My Triton kit arrives today (hopefully - UPS tracking tricked me yesterday grrrr), and I hope Triton tanks don't suffer the same problem. I don't want to give up Turkish!

i know glass tanks are recommended for juices with spices like cinnamon. Are there glass tanks that fit on Halo Triton or G6?

i've had erry flavor of Halo in Halo Triton and mini-tanks, never had anything close to a crack. still have some tanks that are months old and been cleaned and re-used without any problems from any Halo joos. So here's hoping this is just an awful coincidence or errting you touch is going to explode leaving you a heartbroken shell of yer former self....but not the joos.

although once my peaceful facade cracked into a violent murderous spree, but that was cuz i ran out of bacon...nuthin to do with joos.

All Halo juices are safe in any Halo tank or minitank.

I remember Cinder Ella saying so.

If a juice was to ruin a minitank, it'll melt it, or etch the majority of the surface the juice touches.

I have 3 minitanks with a crack, but this is simply a crack, probably from stressing the tip in a pocket. You know, bending the tip sideways. The crack starts at the top, but doesn't go down very far. It stops before the silicon seal of the tip. All 3 tanks are 4 or 5 months old, and have had a LOT of different juices, not all Halo!

I'm guessing you just have a stress crack, not a juice-induced thing.

So, LAwaters, do you have one (or 2) top cracks? The plastic is not very strong. The Triton tanks are a different plastic, and very strong.

wheezal - +1 on nothing bad ever happening to our bacon or juice. Break my heart. Explode my stuff. But leave my vaping be!

Dave - good question. They are top cracks. What's weird is that I have 3 G6 batts with three different colored tanks and flavors. They are always with me, and tenderly handled. I have a lanyard for two, and the other is in my hand or on my desk.

I did get one smoke tank that was cracked at the bottom on arrival that Halo replaced. Excellent customer service! Maybe a defective batch? The test will be that I had to put my Torque & Turk blend in a new green tank. The stopper is a lot tighter than my other tanks, and that calls for extra care when I remove it and put it back. So if that one cracks at the top, it might be due to stress. My Voodoo tank is yellow and also a tighter than normal top. Also a risk for stress cracking, though it has no Turk.

I'll have to be even more careful and see what happens, I guess.

Also, how are you cleaning your tanks. While I dont own a G6, i have held the tanks for them in my hands, they are of a type of plastic I would not want to put in near boiling water or Rubbing Alcohol.

Not that I think they will "melt" them, but depending on the type of plastic and such, it is possible to make the plastic brittle. Maybe Ella can chime in on the exact type of plastic used in the G6 mini tanks, then we can search out the reactive properties of it.

I would absolutely blame user error here, except for the fact that the other tanks I use daily haven't cracked. One is a clear tank used and refilled daily with Kringle's.

These are cracks all the way through with juice seeping out. One of the smoke minis I use a lot less often was sitting unused for almost a week. When I checked it this morning, it has a crack at the top and juice is seeping out. The oldest one is from mid-February and the other two are only 2 - 3 weeks old. One I just started using last week. I'm stumped!

It could be those smoke colored ones are a bit more brittle, due to the pigment or just the batch. The logical way to prove it's the Turkish is to put Turkish into a different color tank, or a different juice into the smoke tank.

And don't worry about gentle spice. I have Tiki in a mini, and I think that's has a lot of spices. No problems with cracks, other than the little top crack. Tiki's problem is once it has Tiki, it'll always have Tiki, difficult flavor to remove...

I worry about Hot cinnamon. No worry's with cinnamon rolls, but the red hot type cinnamon.

However, a few points.

These are $4 tanks. I expected about 2 months of use, yet they still do well after 6. But if they only lasted 2 months, I'd be ok with that.

You will forget all about this as soon as you vamp up a Triton tank, hopefully today!!

:)

@fallenrawtoast - haven't had a chance to clean two of them yet, because they are so new. But I use just warm water. Good point though.

@Dave - that's why I'm curious how the green tank will hold up with the Turk/Torque combo. Time will tell. And the Triton is here! Unspeakably good! I have vaped myself silly, but will say more when the clouds clear! So happy!

@Craybee - Oh. My. That cracked me up.

The cool thing about torque and Triton is I can go like 15 or more refils without having to clean. Very nice vape.

But I sometimes drop a bit of Coolmist menthol in, and sometimes a bit o Belgian Cocoa.

None of my triton tanks have any problems. Yes, some of the old style tips broke, but replacement tips are good. And I have changed coil heads.

Triton rulez!!!!!

And you are now a Triton Halon!!!

I recently put some Turkish in an Evod tank that I've been mostly using this week and have had no problems. I'd have to second what Dave said and wonder if it's the pigment used in the smoke tanks or just the batch you got. By the way, the smoke colored tanks look awesome and I really hope it isn't that.

Hi Lucienbel - I have it in one of my new Triton tanks mixed with Torque, and so far so good. Agree on how awesome the color looks too. It was the first one I bought, and I keep trying.

Since the Triton tanks are better, heavier plastic, I will probably buy one in smoke, even though there's a chance it's a pigment issue.

And I just realized that it's 5 tanks so far because Halo sent a replacement for the one that arrived cracked. And now the replacement one is cracked.

the majority of my mini-tanks are smoked. but i have a handful of other colors and clear. so i still haven't had any cracking issues with any Halo juices and i've been using them since September of last year with pretty heavy use.

this is a mystery....it must be lack of bacon or booze in your diet. that's the most logical explanation.
