hi got a new e cig as iam new to this vapour lark just need a few tips does turning your e cig of save your battery and if you keep turning on and off ruin the battery soz about spelling not very good lol
Like a car, think of turning it off every time you get to a stop light. If you have a mod that flashes a few colors when on and off or a display the shows on and off it will save life to just leave it on al of the time. I left a innokin itaste SVD on for about three weeks and still shows 3.8v.
I keep mine turned on most of the time, but I do turn it off when I go out and about. I want to reduce the chance of accidental firing. Around the house, it stays on, out and about, I turn it off and on as needed.
Above posts are the same for me, my kanger evod vv is my on the go/car kit, always turn it off so it does not fire in my pocket, but when in the car I just leave it on.
I usually leave mine on all the time if I am driving around. If I am walking and its going in the pocket at all I make sure to shut it off just in case it wants to fire off in my pocket.
For most PV's it doesn't make any difference. The only exception I know of is an eVic, which continues to drain the battery when it goes into "standby" mode. You need to go out of your way with that one to turn it off if you want to conserve battery life.
It doesn't use any power unless you're pressing the button - so most people only turn off as a safety precaution.
Mine's off if I'm transporting it packed in a case of some sort, where it's POSSIBLE the button would get pressed.
But in a shirt pocket or a stand or lying around, they never get turned off...
The button on an ego or ego style battery has a locked/inactive position and an unlocked/active position.
It is not an on/off button except in use, depressed is on, released is off.

have fun

I only turn mine off when I'm putting them in my purse or pocket. I believe both of mine (itaste VV V3 and MVP) have an auto stop after 10 seconds of holding down the button, but I feel it's better to be safe about it. The last thing I need is the battery overheating in a confined space.
