for vg affecting chest/lungs it seems it depends on source or producer of vg.
i diy my juice, when i was using life brand vg it did make my chest feel "heavy", for the lack of a better word, when mixing high vg juices.
i then ordered a gallon(4liters) from coop coco and i didnt get that heavy feeling. maybe its just in my head idk.
info on coop coco's Vegetable glycerine: certified GMO free, pharmaceutical grade (USP) and kosher,
Origin: Coconut
Glycerin, vegetable source USP | Coop Coco

imo, ymmv

funny, I am experiencing that right now after vaping like 6 mls of a 70/30 vg. so you think it isn't an allergy and just possibly the brand that is being used? how would that make a difference though seeing as it's the same substance?
i thought the same ,your guess is as good as mine, idk.
maybe the raw material source for the vg?

I've been using 100vg for years. It does produce a better flavor. I recently got some premixed flavors to try, they're 60/40 and all I taste is the chemical pg taste.

VG is moisturizing, and in humid conditions too much moisture is made in the lungs or sinuses. Causing cough up and such... In the winter or dryer conditions this isn't a problem as the air is dryer.

The VG from Walmart did give me a heavier feeling. The VG from RTS was coconut and I found it to be the best. Currently I'm using bulk apothecary and it's been decent.

I've been trying a small amount of pg to offset the moisture from VG, like 3-5% so far.

It's a myth that pg carries flavors better. In VG I taste 100% flavor. In 60pg I taste chemical pg over the top of the flavor.

I've had a few brands that gave me a heavyness in my chest. I switched to essential depot VG and I no longer have that heavyness so I believe brand does have something to do with it.
@vincom I am in the same boat. I use to use Walmart's special but then I tried essential depot's as well with better results. Everyone is different though. We need to use what works for us.

Every been to a Cigarette store? Why do you think there are so many different brands? Not to mention the cigars and pipe tobaccos at the back of the store. Everybody likes something different. We all need to find what works for ourselves. There is no right or wrong. The correct PG vs VG vs Flavor vs Nicotine ratio, is the ratio that works for YOU. The real frustrating parts is those ratios are not a constant, they can all change for each juice, each atomizer, each mod and each build you like to use.

For me Heavy chest and/or stomach wrongness, comes from the following; Too much VG, Too much nicotine, too much flavoring, certain flavors.

As far as VG vs PG and flavor goes. IDK, except for PG being a little harsher and VG tasting a little sweeter and producing more cloud... They seem to carry flavor about the same, too me. They and the nicotine just provide different nuances to the flavors. I could happily vape 100% PG juice. I like to have some VG, in the juice to reduce the Harshness, provide sweetness and a little extra cloud. My DIY recipes are at 75/25 and around 12mg, vape unregulated in the 1ohm range. Most of the finished juices I buy are from MyVapeJuice and get that in 60/40/12.

^^ topic is more about VG . I thought VG was all the same no matter who bottled it but I was mistaken as 2 different brands of VG had different effects on me.
1 was good the other not so much.

As for mixing ratios it is agreed as to ones own preferences "but" if different makers of a product have different effects on taste and ratios one has to consider which brands have favorable results no matter the ratio

I only got a heavy chest feeling with a few premade juices. I use high vg in my mixes because I cannot tolerate pg, only in my flavorings, none extra. I tend to agree it may be the brand of vg. And we all have our sensitivities whether it be vg or pg. That is why I love diy so much!

Interesting thread!

I have vaped from 0-90% VG and no issues or noticable difference.

I recently picked up a bottle of Milk Man and it makes my lungs hurt a bit and feel heavy (almost like a chest cold). It is 99% VG. Weird, but I guess I need to stay under 90% VG moving forward.
