I would like to say that it will, but I couldn't find any documentation that it can.

AA, AAA, and C rechargeable batteries are a different chemistry (Ni-MH or Ni-Cd) than Li-ion batteries (cobalt ICR and manganese IMR).

I found that the Xtar VP2 can charge both LiFePO4 and Li-ion batteries; no mention of Ni-Mh or Ni-Cd batteries.

I found some chargers which specifically state that they can charge both NiMH and Li-ion batteries. Thrunite MCC-4 Charger Li-Ion, Nimh.

I also found chargers which specifically state that they can charge Li-ion, Ni-MH, and Ni-Cd. Nitecore D2/D4.

You could contact Xtar directly via the support link and ask a representative your questions.

I don't believe it can. Your standard NiCd and NiMH rechargeables are 1.25 volts and the output options for that charger only cover lithium battery chemistries (3.2 is the lowest output option)

Don't be fooled because it can accept those physical sizes as there are lithium equivalents (14500 is physically about the same size as AA, I think 10440 is the same size as a AAA)
