Alas, Maurice, it's worse than that, if you had to pay shipping!

I was in Sally Beauty Supply to buy my wife a flat iron, no shipping, and combined with a trip to the grocery which is in the same parking lot. Lost my rear on the flat iron, feel like a winner on the rayon stuff; that kind of deal works for me.

A rationalization if I ever saw one. On the other hand, you could make your money back and more if you went under-the-table (so to speak) and spread the benefits a bit wider.

I could buy more 48%mg and bottles to go with it, but would rather wait until the end of the year-- a gamble if the price skyrockets by then, but I takes me chances. OTOH------thinking about the stockpilers-----

I suppose I could, however I would have to spend a great deal more time to recoup the $10.99 than it takes me to make $10.99, turns out to be false economy in my situation.

I joined this group when I saw a earlier post, but I must make a confession. ....I blew it today.... I have been looking at the Dna 30 s for a long time and I really wanted one. I have a dna 20 but the 30 s don't have the limutations that the 20 have...well, I saw one for what is a really great price., with the updated second generation electronics and the newer 510 connection. I couldn't resist. .I placed my order.. got one in red. Now I have the guilts...I forgot about the group and I feel badly about spending the money. But I really did get a great deal. It's the cloupor, 1:1 clone which is the exact copy. They regularly go for about 89.99. You can find them on ebay for about that price. However I got mine for 65.00 with a 3% discount coupon. But I still feel guilty. I felt like I needed to confess to the group my spending mistake. I was doing so well up to today..sigh... just thought I better confess.

You are forgiven. Hopefully you have hurt no one other than yourself and your bank account. I would hate to see your young children be deprived of milk because of your unnecessary purchase. Now, for your penance, spend not a penny more until the end of August. I bet you won't be able to!!

Did you already have it on a wish list somewhere? You shouldn't succumb to the temptation of a sale price, UNLESS you already have it on a wish list.

You are hereby sentenced to 10 weeks within which you can make no expenditures on ecigs. However, due to your confession the court offers leniency and will allow that friends may share with you during your term.

I'm trying to spend less too. Seriously blew it the first two months almost blew my rent money too. Stupid me. Gotta stop looking at classifieds. I have enough wick and wire and juice that would last me a few months at least. So I'm trying very hard not to spend on mod this month even though I really want a 2nd Reo as backup. Ok. Thank you for this group. I'm motivated to save/spend less--even though all these sales are very tempting.

Dollar a day. People must not vape very often. After smoking 42 years and last 10 years about 50 a day, I say a dollar a day is impossible. But good luck to you all. I spend more than that on wicks and wire. LOL

$228.92 worth of kanthal a1 from Temco should last 10 years replacing 6" of wire every day. That 6" of wire is enough to wrap two 1.0 ohm coils or a 0.5 ohm dual coil. Granted that's 4 509' spools of 24g, but the math holds up. That's under $0.07 per day, more realistically that would be enough for the rest of most peoples vaping lives.

Not only do I think it is possible to vape on a dollar a day, I think it can be done quite easily, if one is able to DIY their e-liquids.

You would have to vape a metric boat load to kill a dollar a day DIY juice, seriously.

You spend a dollar a day on wick and wire ...

I don't get it. How do you manage to spend that much?

I'm in Canada and we tend to have higher costs than in the US. Shipping alone gets us big time. I don't come remotely close to a buck a day in wick and wire.

Geez, I've been using the same two 10cent wick & wire in my drippers for over two months, and the wick & wire in my KF for almost a month. That works out to about 0.2222cents/day.

Figure that my juice costs 0.6cents/ml, and I vape about 4ml/day. That means that my daily expense is still less than a quarter.

My PVs etc. are all paid for, that means that they're an asset, not a liability.

So all said & done, I would have to 'splurge' in order to spend a dollar a day.

Just wondering what the ratio is to cut high mg liquid in half? Thus extending my budget and my liquid. Honestly it would be very nice to save money as I have way extended my vape budget this month.

That's easy, just mix in the same amount of PG/VG as you have e-liquid. (50/50) 1/2 means 50% of the total.

Good grief! How do you manage that? I have to recoil mine daily. I can get one good tank out of it. Maybe two if I'm lucky. It gets gunked up and a dry burn usually just results in the first coil glowing hot until it's shot. Perhaps it's because I don't use PG?

Even using stock kanger single coils I spend $5.39/5 (with coupon and free shipping).

With regular cleaning and dry burning a coil that cost me just under $1.08 will last anywhere from 3-6 weeks, normally 4-5.

So on the conservative side I'll say coils last an average of four weeks or 28 days per coil for a cost of approximately .038 per day, multiplied by the number of tanks in rotation (usually 4-6), worst case I'm still under a quarter a day using stock heads with multiple tanks.

How many times will it need to do that before you recognize the problem?!?

You will be hard pressed to show me something that two coils can do that one coil can't.
You just need to rethink how to wrap one coil.
