Maybe this covered before, but I have looked all over the wed and can't find an answer to what should be a simple and common question:

What to do when done vaping for the day?

I have tried various mods/pods/whatever, but still have not figured out what to do with my e-cig after I come home and ready for bed.

Nine times out of ten, if I leave the liquid in the e-cig I get splatter, spittle, and/or a volcano-like eruption from the over-soaked cartridge.

If I drain all unused liquid, the coil tends to dry up and burn out faster.

Just curious why every type to e-cig doesn't come with instructions on how to store overnight and/or what to do with unused liquid. Eventually all my past mods have failed; maybe that's what "they" want to happen so you have to buy a new one every year?!?

Someone has to have discovered what to do at the end of the day to keep an e-cig happy and healthy when not in use, but ready for the next day?!?

Have tried everything from itazte mod to Joyetech stick. Most would eventually "clear up", except for my latest Joytech eGo. All "sputter" on the first draw the next day. Was just wondering, in general, how they should be stored overnight and/or if there was a way to prevent the over-soaked wick; other than tossing the remaining fluid down the drain before heading to bed.

I mean, I have seen numerous articles on how to maintain you battery, when to replace you coil, etc. But no articles about "you're done vaping for the day, here is what you would do..". Yes, there are long-term storage articles for when not using for weeks or months. But nothing about overnight storage. Yes, I have stood mine up while on the charger but the wick still gets "soaked". Sometimes so much so that I have to replace it to prevent e-liquid from spattering in my mouth. And, again, this has happened with every type of e-cig I have tried. Except for the first one, which lasted me a good, happy year. But that was over 10 year ago and have been disappointed with every one since then (i.e. volcano-like eruptions every morning and/or dies after 3-4 months). Either they don't like me, or I'm doing something wrong. Hence my questions.
FYI - not an every-day smoker/vaper... but give me a few beers and I'll drain the tank! ;0)

A good atomizer with a good coil never had problem on me to stay unused overnight.
With some mouth to lung vapes in some cases in the morning i may had some spitback at first puffs.Thats why i used to open the airflow fully (if it was adjustable) and take 2 or 3 puffs like that in order to burn any excess juice on the coil because like that the airflow is loose and you dont suck more juice to the coil as you take a puff. Then adjust back to normal and vape it

to ECF Emo. So glad that you are here. I have been vaping for over 9 years and I don't think there has ever been a time that I did not have one of my tooters within reach and ready to go. Whew! Just the thought of one not being there makes me shiver. heehee Good luck to you and make yourself at home. Lot's of wonderful people around here.

Welcome emo.

I remember that fidget factor when I began vaping. Eventually I settled on the Aspire BVC glassomizer, which I've now been using for years. Only very occasionally do I get that spit-back anymore. I think it's too much heat chasing too much liquid. I find that turning down the power from 10.5 to 9.5 watts, and vaping that way for a few minutes, will clear it up. Or you can first try rolling up a bit of paper towel to swab out the inside of the mouthpiece. Finally, try removing the tank from the battery and swabbing both. Whatever the problem is, it's probably the same thing every time, so once you figure it out you won't have to take all those steps.

Whatever comes to bed with me comes to bed with me, and the rest remain as they were.

For the most part, they behave. There was this one time though, when a Provari and a Billet Box started messing around, but I heard the commotion and put a stop to it immediately. They're no longer allowed to hang together unless I'm in the room with them.

Kids will be kids.
