Howdy Everyone! My name is Oz and this is my story. I started smoking about 12-13 years ago when I was first in college(like so many of us did). Starting with only a few smokes a day, I have now brought myself up to a 2 pack a day habit. It sounds horrible just typing it. lol Anyhow, I have been sick for the past week+ with my yearly(maybe more often) bout with Bronchitis. If you have had the bad cases like me, then you know why I now want to switch over to vaping. Those analogs are just killing my lungs and I have to stop now before it is too late and I am dragging a oxygen tank behind me.

I have tried patches, they make me want to scratch my skin off. I have tried the gums and lozenges, YUUUCCCKKK. I even tried the prescription pills, the symptoms I was starting to get scared the living hell out of me! So here I am, giving it my best to get off the analogs once and for all. I will vape forever if it helps me feel better!

So today, I have ordered all of my stuff. I went the expensive route since its been said the more you sacrifice, the more you will value your decision. :) I purchased one of the Provari V2 starter kits from their site and a bunch of liquid from iVape. I didn't know which would be better so I purchased some atomizers to try out as well as the cartomizers that come with the kit. I'll probably look into some other additions once I get into the swing of things. There are just so many options, it is hard to wrap my head around them all. lol

Thanks for the great forums to help me get through the process with ease!

WElcome to ECF and congrats on your Provari. You will find that you get this vaping thing down pat in no time and get the VV figured out quickly. I went from a mini to a Lavatube and had it figured out in minutes. You might want to look into getting a Phiniac tank with your Provari. A little pricier than the polycarb tanks (they are pyrex glass that won't break) but they are definitely worth it. No cracking with certain juices, and they are beautiful! I own 3 sandblasted ones........ company is down right now cuz their main sandblaster had surgery but should be open in just a few days (I hope! Got my eyes set on another one) LOL!

Congrats on the most important and best decision of your life!!! You definitely went with the right equipment. When you switch to vaping just remeber DO NOT give into a cigarette. No matter how bad you get the urge. Just vape until your blue in the face and the cravings will pass. It took me about 2 weeks before the really strong cravings went away. Hope to see you on here in a year talking about your 1 year anniversary of being smoke free.

Awesome Oz! I personally don't think you could have purchased a better PV right now! I also think you will be more apt to stick with it not only for the money involved, but now you have this great new toy to play with. You could spend hours and even days and months keeping yourself busy by trying different juices at different voltages! Believe me, have faith in this product, it is THE ONLY thing that has ever worked for me and I am like almost 5 months clean from analogs. Now the damn things make me sick just to smell! Good luck, and you can do this for sure! Make it your hobby and you will be alright. That's what I did! And you are at the best place in the world to keep you from smoking, right here at ECF!

I've been half-stepping for 6 months... but still cut down a lot. Just got an Ego-C after using 808's. not sure what to think, kinda great and then sorta over the top. Loved my little batteries:)) lots of contests, tho... maybe I'll find something else:))

I just switched to an Ego-C yesterday after using 808s for about 2.5 weeks. The 808 for sure got me started on vaping, but meh ... constantly switching batteries, hoping one would charge before the other died ... and various automatic issues. I think the Ego-C is a very slick looking device. Showed it off to a couple of coworkers today and they liked the look. A few commented that it looked more like a nice high end writing pen. And the battery life is great. Even with the 650mah. I kind of wanted 1000mah, but the store didn't have a black kit in stock. I'm thinking I might add a 1000mah Twist to my collection and that should round me out.

Congrats on getting rid of the analogs! and welcome aboard! I was on Chantix before and talk about scary, that drug is scary. Constant mood swings and thoughts of crazy things that I would never ever do. But that's all in the past now and I'm happily vaping:vapor:

Thraizer, I was on Chantix too. I had some of the worst dreams ever, sometimes when I was awake I thought I was dreaming too. I had to quit before I went insane. lol

I did the Chantix route back in 2009 with poor results. Don't remember any dreams, but I defiantly had the mood swings. Noticeable enough by my co-workers, so I didn't bother with any refills on it. Really wish I had read more about PVs back then. I knew of them a bit from mall kiosks and the like, but kind of passed them off as a fad. Boy was I wrong. :)

Grats Oz, I doubt very much that you will be disappointed with your purchase, just remember and or FYI there are a lot of variables with personal vapers.. You have purchased a very reliable "base" unit. now what you put on top of it is key and will vary greatly. I.E. low rez, Standard, high rez, atty and or carto, Drip 510, 306 etc, CE2 or carto?? Which flavour and at what Voltage? I point all this out not to discourage but to strengthen your resolve. There is no shame in continuing to smoke while you complete the above, every time you vape instead of grab a cig your winning. (lol Charlie Sheen quote.. I feel dirty) I say this only because you shouldn't be left with the impression that .. " ya I bought a Provari, and never touched a cig again"....

It's a journey with no "set" end date, take your time, find the set up that is right for you and eventually you will find yourself not wanting to grab that cig at all.

Stay with it.
