ProVari mini or full size - pros/cons And what about the batteries and charger that come with the ProVari kits - worth it or buy elsewere?
Depends upon the physical length that you prefer in a device. If you prefer something shorter, more portable, not as heavy, and don't mind packing an extra battery around the Mini is nice.

If you don't mind using a longer, less portable, heavier device and would rather not need to bring an extra battery along, the extended regular version fits the bill.

I already had a Pila charger, and I always get my batteries from RTD Vapor. When I ordered my Provari, I chose the body color, LED color, and the extension cap...nothing else. With the track record of the Provari, I didn't see the need for the extended warranty, and the repair prices are reasonable should it ever be required.

I'm really happy with my mini, it's a nice pocket size and I get around 6hrs runtime. I already had a charger so I can't say on that. The batteries are AW's, they are a bit pricier then elsewhere, but with the free shipping when ordering a Provari it washes out.
It came down to size or runtime to me, I'll take the size, I always like the size of my BB, and this is as close as it gets. There are a couple of ways to get the runtime from the mini if you really want to, the twins extension, the Kir Fanis extension etc., but there's no way to make the full size smaller. I also like the scallops better, it's gripier IMO, than the straight cuts on the full size.
This is all opinion mind you, we all have our wants and needs, I wanted the smaller size.

Someday, when I grow up (? I'm 44) I want an S65, I love that car!

I'd love one as well but there's no way in hell I'd own one. A good friend of mine works at a Mercedes indy and they had one come in for a brake job. It was over $6,000 just for the rotors and pads.

I thought my E55 was bad with the $750 brake jobs (rotors/pads only, buying online for cheap). Stupid AMG and their directional front rotors. The front rotors cost 4x as much as the rears.

Good choice on the Provari. I spent more than the cost of the Provari on my collection of cheaper previous setups. It is a solid unit. I have the full size and do not find it too large to leave the house. I do have the 18650 extension but rarely use it. However, as others have already suggested get a good quality charger.

Sounds pretty good!
I have been a smoker for a long time and started vaping for a month now and stopped smoking.
So after purchasing my first e-cig from the mall and only using it for less than a month, I garbaged that right away cause it won't charge any longer. I than decided to purchase a starter kit of the Ego Kanger T2 with batteries. And worked good.
Last week I decided to purchase the Itaste MVP from Vaping Monkey. What a difference that is from the Ego Twist set up. I am very pleased with it.

I will also purchase another unit soon. I am still deciding wether to go for Provari or the Zmax 2.
What ever you do enjoy it!

Hi! Heavy. Heavy. Heavy. Did I say heavy? I just got a mini and the weight surprised me. For example, while sitting here reading the threads I tend to casually hold my pv in my hand, wrist sort of bent back, taking the occasional vape. No problem with a 1000mAh Twist, but the mini is heavy. I don't know how someone could hold a full-sized one comfortably. I'm no weakling, but I know my wrist would start hurting if the mini was any heavier. :2c:

I totally understand. I'm glad you went with the Mini when debating between the full size and mini. I have the regular size with extension cap. I used to use it exclusively, home and out, for a couple of months, but after a while I realized this is a heavy mod for out and about and is not incredibly pocketworthy. I broke my wrist 2 years ago and it still aches. It doesn't like holding heavier mods for a long time.

Long story short, I use the Provari mostly for home now. I've ended up with both an Ovale V8 and Smoktech Gripper, both variable voltage gripper-box mods for the car and when away from home. Both are the size of a pack of cigs and easily fit in a shirt or coat pocket. Either can be stealth vaped in the cinema. And both were had for $30 each.
