So if you need at least 1000ma then how can you use it just plugged into the PC USB port which is only 500 ma?

If I want to use my auto PT plugged into the PC can I leave it plugged in? In other words I don't have to unplug it and then plug it back in every time I want to take a hit do I?

What, if any are the advantages of a manual PT versus an auto PT ?

Thank you!

Just unplug it if you are not using it, no need plug/unplug for every hit. It's a safety measure. I don't find much difference between my manual and auto PTs, auto has a lighter draw, manual has a button and is sealed so no chance of juice leaking inside. I don't bother with a primer puff on my auto PT or xl batteries.

It's been tried. The voltage drop is too high.

Then I submit....

Seen the pictures. Almost exactly like I'd hoped it would look except the coil would be on the other end. That way if you pulled it for some reason (like it got caught on a knob on a desk drawer) you would notice the coil uncoiling. Looks nicely beefed up though where the old ones failed.....enter the PT. I'll be getting one next order

We finally received some of our newly redesigned passthroughs. At this point we have only received the black manuals so far, but they are sweet. I'm going to be posting some very low quality images here now (from my iphone). I don't have the camera today, so this is the best that I can do right now.

The first image shows the new connector end

This image shows the coiled cord near the USB connection end.

They are on sale individually right now for $19.95, and can be included with kits instead of the XL battery. For the time being just let us know if you prefer the XL battery or the Passthrough for the kit. The kit prices will remain the same through the weekend and will go up slightly next week (these cost us a bit more).

Looks nice mark... the cable looks strong QQ

test to see if you pull on the PT to extend the coiled cable if the tension of the coil will pull the usb out of the pc/usb adaptor

That could be a possible small/tiny issue

OMGawd, that looks great! No more ghetto drilled plastic piece at the end :p
My PT is still going strong after my first two months of having it and I haven't had to tape or glue it or anything. I know it will eventually, but I wanna new toy :3

I want one so bad, but I'll wait 'till you get the autos.

One thing I'm wondering though...is the part that connects to the cartomizer the same? Just thought of that since the batteries are going to change.

That's a good point, and frankly, one of the things I was concerned about. I haven't managed to yank it out of the USB port and I have extended it at least 3 times the length of the coiled part.

Another noob question :) I know that some PT's have batteries in them and some don't and that effects.....what???? The amount of current you need to use them ? The voltage rating, ie: 3.7, 5, etc.... ? And which one is this ? Especially the voltage part...is it considered a "high voltage" device?
Thank You!

V4L's PT does not have an inline battery and runs at 5 volts, I believe the ones with inline batteries run at 3.7 volts.
