need a few suggestions on a click bladder.

well im wondering if anyone has ever soldered tin? i cant seem to get 2 small pieces of tin to adhere together,ive tried pinch folds,jb weld and solder.im trying to make a small click bladder to pump juice.

its taking to long and something will be found by somebody here,before i perfect it.i jut thought by hearing or feeling the clicks it would be easy peasey. ow heres a photo of a 1880s click bladder,maybe i should hook it up and build a retro device haha.jkg.thanks.

Tin should solder quite easily. Try cleaning the surfaces with lacquer thinner. Try an iron with higher wattage rating.

Or a torch. The torch will heat up all the metal parts. Like they did back then. It's like sweating copper pipe.

well i am having a hard time getting it to click properly,i did use the torch in the end after soldering,thanks for the suggestions.im trying to fit at least 60 drops per bladder but the small size it is becoming quite hard to deal with getting the tin to pop back up,i might try a thicker piece of tin next.

I wonder if you messed up the bladder when you used the torch. I work for a HVAC supplier and all my customers use torches and some times they get close to object on the unit that cant take the heat. So they get a wet rag and wrap around it. I wonder if you can do the same thing and save the bladder from shrinking. It looks bit small and you might have issues doing that. We sell a product called Bloc-It. Its a heat absorbing paste. That might be the ticket. Hope this helps.

There are some dispensing bottles that have a metal pump top that dispenses a set amount when you press the metal top of the bottle.

Not sure how small they make them, but this might be a solder-free start.
