Don't hate my current setup

Let me say first I am going to get a Reo Grand LP with a RM2. There are a lot of reasons but what starting me looking was the cost of replacement coils.
My current setup is a Mini PT2 on a Spinner 2. I have no real issues in fact just the opposite, I get decent vapor production, the flavor is okay but I have nothing to compare it to. The reason for this post is most everyone talks about their previous setups and complain about almost every aspect from leaking to flavor, I think my Kanger gear kept me off cigs for the last 15 months and I thank my son for buying me this great tank.

i believe the next my next best move is the Reo, for all the obvious reasons, ya it's a little costly, but it's dependability, durability and unique looks makes it worth it to me not to mention Rob's outstanding customer service reputation. I have been lurking on the Reo threads for sometime now and have read Rob't replying to his customers issues time and time again.

For anyone living in my area TJ from BC Vapes in Maple Ridge also takes great care of his customers and stands behinds his products, I have been extremely satisfied with his customer service and make it a point to direct anyone to his vape Store.

I don't believe you could ever regret taking this step. I just know you will be elated with it. Since you are going with an LP, you are not limited to small attys either, so you will be able to put whatever you like on it. And you'd be hard pressed to find better customer support!

Thanks for the encouragement, all of you with Reos is another reason for my decision to go Reo. SuperX was my first contact with the community believe it or not not in the Reo Forum, he sure gets around.

Welcome, I think the Reo would be good. A little costly up front but durable, beyond durable. I actually dropped mine 20 minutes ago when I was at dairy queen Not even a scratch from it this time. Rob is a great guy. I've emailed him when I was first getting into Reo's and he was quick to reply every time and answered every question very well. Once you get the set up, only cost would be juice, cotton, and kanthal. You can buy 1000ft of it for cheap and Kanthal lasts a long time. I haven't touched anything except for a setup my dad got since I got a Reo. No need to use anything else honestly.

I think Papa_Lazarou is from your area. My girlfriend is in Ontario, however I live down in Alabama.

I'd check out sxmxdrifter on YouTube. He's Super_x_drifter on here, but he has a ton of videos that could help you with Reo's.
Redeyedancer is Rob's YouTube he does put out videos occasionally too that can help.

Replacement coils can definitely be pricey, when compared with how cheap it is to build your own. Reos are a bit pricey but your paying for a quality product, and you have the peace of mind knowing that if anything does go wrong with your mod, you can always send it back in to get it repaired. In the long run, reos definitely seem the way to go. I've used many different mods, and for durability and performance...they both go to the reo, I don't think you can go wrong

Would never hate on that set up! I still love my PTs and Aerotanks! I still rebuild the attys for them and use them all the time. I consider them my knock around tanks. Mowing the lawn or doing some other kind of busy work. Kanger EVODS and Protanks and their stick batteries are what got me of cigs!

Congrats on taking the plunge into REOville! You are gonna love it. Pssst...I still run PT2's with cotton wicks and rebuild those tiny coils, they work great.

Secondly, welcome, my fellow lower mainlander. The reo is, indeed, the schizna - for all the reasons you mention (product, Rob, the community).

I built coils for my pt2's as well but it was 50/50 that I'd get a decent one built. The Reo and RM2 is a much better tasting vape and you'll get more vapor and go longer before you have to refill the bottle. Also no more gurgling or juice in the mouth. You can still use the pt2's on your Reo if you really miss them....you won't!

Hi Dan, welcome to the ECF Boards. Been doing this for a long time now and a Reos Mod in your life will make your days happy. I love all of mine and you will find the same. Welcome Dan!!! Can't wait til you get your new precious!!! I'm sure you'll love it!! Have you delved into building coils? Really not hard, getting the wicking right is probably the trickiest. I'm fairly new to it, but if I can do it, anyone can!! lol

There is no rule that you have to hate your current gear to be looking into a Reo. I can't say I hated PT's when I bought my first Reo - but I sure was getting frustrated by the inconsistency of Kanger coils. Even running the same liquid one coil might last for weeks, the next several were going nasty in a matter of days. Still, after getting my first Reo using anything else just... stopped. It was the whole package: the ease of use combined with the vape experience. And one thing you can't really appreciate until you get one in your hands - how well machined, designed & built these things are.

If you do decide to "go there" - or rather, come here - you will skip a lot of expense trying maybe a half dozen other PV's that don't quite make the mark either. I easily have a pile of stuff equal to the price of a couple Reos that, in hindsight, I wish I had skipped right over.

Super_X hooked me on REO, too. He has an excellent video on the care, treatment and maintenance of the RM2. I would have been lost without it. I would say it is neigh on to required viewing for the RM2.

Dan, welcome to Reoville. Great choice you made. The Reo Grand is Best vaping hardware on the planet, and the RM2 is Best choice for a starting Atomizer.

When I first got into vaping, I got a Protank and the Replacement heads for $6.99 for a 5 pack. When I put them in the Protank, I got the nastiest taste imaginable!!! Come to find out, the Replacement Coil Heads had MACHINE OIL on them from the manufacturering process. Needless to say, that was the last night I used the Protank. I learned more about Rebuildable Atomizers (RBA's), and within a week, I was making my own coils.

There are plenty of videos to help you get started. You'll learn to rebuild in no time. Making your own coils and throwing the wicking material in them is very simple to do once you get past the learning curb. Someone is always here to help ya get started. And of course, Rob (the Mod Master, Jedi Squonk-toligist) is always a phone call away.

I came to Reos for one simple reason - trying to drip while steering 78,000 pounds at 75 mph was dangerous. So I got a Reos simply because I wanted something durable that did not include dripping. Hello Squonking ! I also had a bad habit of breaking eGo Twists and Kanger T3's. Two and a half years later I've yet to break a Reos.
When you are ready, just select the one you want and start being a Happy Reonaut !

Way to go Dan,
I managed to score my first REO back in late 2010 or early 2011 to move me from a TW Screwdriver MK2 using 901 atties and cartridges, WOW I'm an old-timer on more than one front. I still have that very first REO and it's only been back to Rob once for a minor update. That REO has seen more use than any mod should ever see and I'm certain it'll be with me for many more years. I vape about 4 different flavors a day and due to sheer laziness and no kids, I have a REO for each with a spare just in case. While I may have cheated a time or two with a pretty new thing, I always, ALAWAYS come back to my tried and true. Nothin' better has come along and I seriously doubt anything will. The REO community is also hard to beat if you have a question or just need some advice....on pretty much anything. These days the only things that catch my eye are new BF atties and custom Trippy Tips. Good luck on your journey as well.
