I can not think I am alone in this. I do not miss anologs at all. Not a craving or want to even a thought till I just read a thread where someone is still going back and forth. I feel for them, but do not understand as vaping was like a magic pill for me.

Granted I was not a heavy smoker, more a person who smoked when stress hit, when someone died, when a friend moved away. A social smoker for sure. Now though... I vape when I want to and enjoy it with near no guilt. I vape low nic or no nic depending on my needs. I bring no nic on long car trips as I know I will stress and vape lots.

No it is not all rainbows and flowers, I have had some side effects. A mouth sore from too much nic I think my first few weeks and some mystery chest pains that may or may not be related. I am not overly concerned but I am going to be trying to get some VG to see how I feel about that.

Either way, anologs have no power over me anymore. I feel blessed. Thank you all for being here and supportive and trying to get this movement into the world and safe!

Yes, after 2-3 packs a day for 20 years...gave them up the day my batteries were charged. Tried one a few days later & almost barfed!

Almost?? I did!! Haven't had a analog in 3 weeks. Had heard would taste nasty so stupid me I tried it. Thought I was going to cough up a lung after 1 drag!! then said goodbye to my breakfast.8-o

I'm always honest and I'm on 3 weeks now and yes, I still have a craving now and then. Really bad at the 2 week mark. It's getting better, but yes, I still will have a craving, but I do not like the smell of them anymore when I'm around someone else doing it and I have kept my will power intact. I think the worst time is after I eat and if I have a glass of wine. I know if I caved in, it would taste horrible, so I don't even want to go there. But yes, I still do have a craving now and then.

Trapped within my imagination
Wheew Glad you posted lucky.. I was beginging to feel like a the lone wolf lol. Although i love my pilot and prolly have already made 10 flavors in the 5 or so days i've been vaping and have cut down a pack of analogs per day (deff heavier smoker then a 1 pck a day, more like 2 at least) I struggle everyday.. But dropping one whole pack the first week out. Gives me a lotta hope.. Where as before, If I'd noticed I was down to five analogs, any normal person would stretch em out.. Me? i'd compulsively smoke em one after another :: laugh... I'm ordering another pilot . I AM going to do this! lol Good luck everyone.

Me too...............1.5 ppd for 25 years.......Last Tuesday at 4pm CDT was my lastanalog and I haven't looked back................although I must say that there is the "background noise" of a craving for an analog, but nothing that I can't ignore...........

I am now on 77 days and 5 days into it I tried an analog out of curiosity. Yup that was pretty stupid and yes it was vile! I had 4 drags becouse I couldn't believe how awful it tasted. I think my curiosity was a little "background noise" as well.... But no more background noise for me!

Analog cigs are terrible. Some need more time than others to adjust to the e-smoke, but I loved it off the bat.

Quitting cigs is really tough if you like smoking. My girl tried to empathisize w/ me saying it was like "not eating carbs"... To me it's more like not eating crunchy things, I was on Nic gum and that took the edge off, but sometimes you just wanna blow smoke rings.

One year off analogs sometime this month (not even sure when I smoked my last one, can you imagine :) ? That's why, to be on the safe side, I state 'May 2008' as my quitting date, but it was actually somewhere in April !) and no cravings whatsoever either !

Luckily I have never been tempted to try analogs again and if, for whatever reason, I wouldn't be able to vape anymore (not very likely with the HUGE stock I've accumulated in the past year or so  !), analogs simply wouldn't be an option anymore. I guess I'm not a smoker anymore then, eh ?

Cheers,
Silver

Silver, thanks for the inspiration.

I honestly expected to crave, for this to be hard, but unlike eating low carb, it is not hard, it is enjoyable. Ok, so I am also a kid at heart and love the blue light on my 901 LOL. It is the small things in life I swear it.

I am sorry to hear it is not like this for everyone, and this post was not to make you all feel badly. I was just simply shocked at how much of a non-thought analogs have been from day one. A close family member died and I did not even think of smoking. Unheard of for me.

Honestly I when I first saw that many are marketing these as a "quit smoking product" I was really bothered as most quit products are really crap, very regulated, and cold turkey has better rates of real quit if I remember right. It felt like products where just another way for big tobacco to keep us giving them money. I also worried about that label causing more regulation. I was thinking of vaping as an alternative, not a solution. But here I am.... without much a thought I quit analogs. So strange and not really intended.

Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble.
