Goodluck with it scott58. I was reluctant to begin with, but I'm a tank addict now. I am not sure about how it'll work with your PT and power supply, hope someone else will be able to help you with that.
It took me a while too, before I tried tanks. I had started getting frustrated with the Cool Carts. It seemed I was burning them up in days. Perhaps it was due to the improved soft-touch batts? Maybe Morandir can enlighten me on that. What ever the reason, I decided to try a tank about three weeks ago. All I can say is 
I ordered four more for my fave flavors and a couple for my DH. Fill these up once a day (sometimes every other day); no muss, no fuss.

Scott sir it will be hit or miss using the 1.5ohm carto that came with the tank and the pt. Remember you're asking for at the very least 3.33a at 5v with a 1.5ohm dc carto.
But, I,m gonna try one of these new dual-coil tank things. Should be here tomorrow or monday. Hope it's cool and works well with a passthru and 2.1amp power supply.
I also ordered a tank to try - just one. Should be here Monday and I can't wait to try it. Planning on using it with my xl manuals. I don't have a clue what to do, but I guess I will figure it out as I go along eh? lol
JenJen, if I can figure them out (and I did, with a little lot of help from Snowdragon), then anyone can! 
Just got it this morning. Sadly it doesn't work with my pass-thru, so I got out my batteries out and it works great. Even my older white autos fire it up. Good vaper and good taste. Certainly a good addition to my equipment.
Glad you are enjoying it scott! I love tanks now, I almost went for not losing a drop filling my three the other day, but of course the last tank had to be difficult . It's still worth the occasional spill tho. Jenjen, can't wait till i see your review, hope you enjoy it!

Thanks - so do I need to order some kind of carto to go with it? Kind of confused by what some people have said about replacing the carto in the tank...
Guess I need to watch Snow's tutorial tonight to see what else I need to order. If I like, I am going to put in an order for a few more tanks. I got the smaller ones, because I don't really like bulky. Might use regular cartos when on the go and save the tanks for at home?

JenJen, the tank comes with a 1.5ohm dual coil carto already in it. They last a loooooong time compared to regular cartos; but you will have to change it out eventually, so best to pick up a few "replacement cartos" when you make your initial purchase. (I got 4 2.0ohm dual cartos for mine -- just to lower the temp a bit.)

I also ordered the small one the first time, but then I thought, why not go for the big boys? Now that lil tank is just chillin while I have my 3 V-8's in heavy rotation
Well, to my disappointment, my tank did not arrive with my order! Can't really complain, in almost 3 years of ordering (A LOT!!!) I have only had 2 or 3 mistakes. But dayum! Was really looking forward to getting it and giving it a try! I called customer service and was taken care of quickly (as always) so I am sure I will have it in a few days! If I like it I will definitely put in an order for extra cartos... about how long do they last? Like one a week?

The carto or the tank itself Ms. JenJen? The tank should last a while, the o rings will wear out over time, dropping it can cause damage, but all in all should get 3-6 months of use from a single tank. The carto inside all depends on what juice you're using, voltage, what type, list goes on....

Once you get the gist of them you are going to love them. The process is a little tedious at first but when you have it all settled you will have a system and clouds of vapor. Listen to Morandir, if you are on a standard pv it will be hard pressed to push the dcc at 1.5 and you will probably want to get a replacement with higher ohms.
Ms. JenJen higher pg juices and non-mint/menthol juices will help you get the longest use out of a carto, especially dual coils.
To add to what Morandir said, I'd recommend the thicker the juice the better. I've seen the 1.5 tanks roast some of the thinner juices (at least I'm pretty sure that's what happened). I've had good luck with Peacemaker and #7. Not so much with Premium Grape and Spearmint, but I only tried those once.
