This is why if they do any regulating at all it should be done as any other consumer product, purity, ingredient listing and battery safety. Vaporizer technology is moving faster than computers at this time which is why WHO is calling them ENDS. That is the only name that can keep up with the changing face of the e-cigarette.

:2c::vapor:

What will WHO do if and when they figure out that mechanical mods aren't electronic devices?

Reflects my own thoughts. I'll never go 'zero nic' - I LIKE nicotine in the bloodstream - I like the very odd attributes of both relaxing and maintaining focus - no other substances of which I'm aware do that :) "Relaxed focus" is the state of mind that many athletes attempt to achieve (the "zone") and it is when they achieve that is where their game is the best! And... it can be rather hard to gain or maintain but when they do, they excel.
It's almost as if you were purposely asking for me to post this...

"enhancing performance,"

Oh yeah! It does enhance my performance alright. :D But it's also a known vasoconstrictor.

damaging health

To be determined. Cigarettes damage health--but a little nicotine alone may actually be beneficial to many people. So, no!

and breaching the spirit of clean sport.

How about coffee? Tea? Beer? Protein shakes? Goji berries? Wheatgrass juice? Multivitamins? Iron supplements? Seaweed?

For those who can get by without WTA, it's probably for the best that they not complicate the addiction issue any further.
While I pretty much agree with your entire post, I wouldn't mind exploring this a bit more...

I was not ever addicted to nicotine while smoking.
And I am not addicted to nicotine now while vaping in ANY conceivable way.

But I have some WTA juice on hand, and I do use it now and then.
It gives me a relaxing effect that I absolutely do not get from nicotine alone.
'
I use it so rarely that my WTA bottle is about to expire soon.
But then I really don't even vape that much anymore, so yeah, that's not surprising.
:)

I believe I am one of the very few, if not only WTA users that doesn't feel they NEED it.
Just that sometimes, it really does hit a spot that nicotine does not hit.

It does do that. I guess the main difference is in those who need it, and those who simply enjoy it, but don't have to have it in order to stay smoke-free. The only way I really feel its presence at all is in the lack of adverse symptoms, like cravings or emotional dysfunction, but then, I don't use much at all -- probably about the minimum I can get away with and NOT have those adverse symptoms. But it doesn't make me feel any particular way, unless that way is "normal."

It's hard for me to fathom, with my own budget being what it is; I can only afford needs, for the most part -- a few "just-plain-wants" but not many. I always say that the only thing that might make me interested in quitting vaping would be if my breathing deteriorates, but I have to 'fess up to a wide streak of tight-wad; if I felt there was any way I could quit vaping and NOT be at enormous risk to go back to smoking, which costs even more, I'd probably do it. But if that state of affairs ever was true, it wouldn't be for quite a while; 5 yrs or more, probably, so I doubt I have to even worry about it. :D
