Like many of you, I've been chasing a good vape with Clearos and Glassos.
I've read on another forum that people were using Evod and T3S heads in the Protank, to get less "airy" draw and better vape (and most of all, same replacement coil heads if you own an Evod or a T3S with the Protank).
I've noticed that my Protank started leaking after I started using the T3S heads. Sure, the draw was tighter, but the thing leaked.
I've chucked my two original Protank heads that came with my first Protank purchase.
Today, I received my second Protank (I'm not a fan of the Protank 2, I like my Clearos and Glassos to be as solid piece instead of being able to take it apart).
I dropped in the extra Protank head into my original unit, and I've also used the one installed into the new Protank (don't forget to tighten it down to the base, it comes loose from the factory!)...
Here is why the T3S coils leaked. The picture below shows the two bases. The PT's gasket on the coil is fatter at the base, also, the base itself is larger in diameter. With the fatter gasket squishing down onto a wider base, I believe this is what seals the liquid from leaking out of the inner walls of the 510 threading...
Take a look, I'll let you guys be the judge.

Just a note, I actually love the "airy" draw on my Protank... After going through about 5 T3S coil packs through my PT, I didn't appreciate the leakage first of all, the second thing, I really didn't like the tight draw. I think most of the time, I got light headed from sucking on it too hard (I'm impatient
)
Note, I gotta give Sun Vapers some plug. They are freaking awesome, quick shipping, and Edward works directly with Kanger. I've always been a fan of the Kanger stuff, I think in the future, I'm going to just use the T3S heads with my T3S and the PT stuff with the PT.
My two PTs with the proper coil pack hits like a champ now. So much so that I'm a bit light headed from too much Nic... They will never perform like my genny (AGA-T2), but I don't expect them to, When I'm using my PT, my PV are nice and short, my shorty Evic fits into my flash light holster with the PT (the T3S makes it too tall for the flap to come down on the holster)...
Also, the PT is a borosilicate based tank, don't have to worry about any juice...
Happy Vaping everyone!
