I started with the Halo G6. I enjoyed it. I recently met the supernice guys from Elite Vaporworks. They have an 808 kit with sealed automatic batteries, if you're okay with black batts. My understanding is that the batts are the same as Halo's. 78mm lasted a decentish time for me. They make their own liquids (the blueberry cream is to die for) and provide prefilled cartos. Also, free shipping on all orders. (I feel like a walking advertisement lol.)

But, if I were to go the eGo route... the starter kit from Elite Vaporworks, and maybe a syringe and juice is all I need (along with hours reading on here until I figure out what I have in my posession)? You say you use a smokestik- looks just like a blu. Is that for when you're out & about?

Bobby, If you were to go the ego route you could possibly save yourself the all-but-eneviatable next upgrade step if you were to go the route of picking a small unit. I use my ego every where i go. At work, at home, in the car oh my god i just realized thats the only place i go......lol.. seriously I use my ego everywhere. They are available in so many variations that you could have one for every mood. I began my vaping journey with an overpriced model, moved(rather sideways but up a level) to a manual 510, quickly grew tired of standing by the charger. Now My ego lasts me the better part of the day without having to be that guy standing by the charger..
As far as cartomizers go you just need a selection of eliquid and a little time, you could get a syringe but
I personally dont use one for filling cartos but to each his own. I will definately give a thumbs up to the low resistance units that are all so very popular for very good reasons. They are engineered to work incredibly well with the larger batteries like the ego. Good luck. Happy Vaping.

If you go the eGo route, skip the eGo and get a KGO. They're physically the same size and appearance, but the KGO has a better and longer life battery. I just got mine yesterday. Pulled a battery off the charger at 8:30 this morning, vaped pretty heavy all day, and haven't needed to swap batteries yet. It's an AWESOME change from the hassle of switching batteries almost once an hour with my old cigarette sized ecigs.

If you get a KGO from Hoosier E-Cig Supply, the kit comes with 2 atomizers (handy) and 6 pre-filled cartridges (worthless) so add a 5 pack of Smok 1.7 ohm XL cartomizers to your order. And you might as well get a drip tip to use with the atomizers.

That's all you need for hardware, now you just need some juice. The "Vapriot" line of juice from LeCig meets you criteria of being USA made. Also, at $10 for 30ml it's some of the better priced stuff out there. And their shipping is free. Get 3 30ml bottles.

That should be enough to keep you vaping for a month or so, for just under $85. And MUCH, MUCH better equipment than the Blu.

As far as refilling cartos goes, my advice is to just bite the bullet and learn how to do it. It really is pretty simple. It's one of those things that sounds hard until you do it, and then you can't even figure out why you had thought it would be hard. It's just squeezing some juice from a dropper bottle into a little tube. That's it.

There's two HUGE problems with limiting yourself to pre-filled cartos. The first is that you'll severly limit your selection of flavors, and there's some really tasty stuff out there that just flat out isn't available in pre-filled cartos.

The second, and biggest thing, is cost. I have one of the Mistic brand e-cigs that they sell at WalMart and Flying J truck stops. Cartos for that are $15 for a 5 pack. Given the 1 ml per carto rule of thumb, it would cost me $270 to get the same amount of juice that I recommended to you above for $30. And the $30 gets you MUCH better tasting stuff.

I'll mirror what some people here have said, a lot of what you're wanting is unrealistic, and the realistic options are just not very good. "The vaper you are today is not the vaper you'll be in a month" is a very true statement. Eventually these dinky things you're asking for just won't be enough, and you'll want a better unit.

The eGo or similar alternative is a great place to start. Then, if you decide you want more voltage lava tubes are okay, and I personally am big on my Saber Touch.

I can't help much with the smaller stuff, as I just jumped right into the end game. Good luck on your journey though!

I use the SmokeStik because I'm in love with their menthol. The weight is comfortable, and it's (for me) the best way to satisfy my urges to chain "smoke." Also, the quality is nice. The only PV that gets more use from me is the eGo. 1000 mah with a passthrough option gets me through the day no problem. Yeah, it's bigger than an 808, looks nothing like a cigarette, and isn't what you asked for... even I was at a point where I said "Nah, the 808 is fine for me."

You may well have a lot of hours of reading ahead of you. Also, once you've decided which "model" you want to get, you can ask around for the best deals. Lots of vendors around, and lots of nice people here who can point you in the right direction. I am not really up to date on who has what yet. Good luck, though.

Good looking out. But the 808's in discussion here are optional prefilled or refillable empties... Makes them more tempting. Plus, am I to assume a drip tip means eGo's/KGo's drip juice, therefore need something to keep one from drinking it? Not sounding too appealing. Loving the input though!

No, a drip tip is used for "dripping". That's where you just drip a drop of juice directly onto the atomizer and vape it from there. It's kinda handy for trying out a little sample of a new juice. Plus it brings out the flavor real well (I have a bottle of coconut juice that is flavorless through a carto but tasted awesome dripped). Some people drip almost exclusively. Personally I think it's way too big of a hassle to do on a regular basis, but there are occasions where it's nice to have the option. A "drip tip" is just a little plastic mouthpiece that you use so you don't have to put your lips on the hot atomizer. They're also nice to use on cartomizers because they pop off nice and easy and make refilling effortless.

No accidental drinking of juice going on.

The 808s get decent enough reviews, but you're still looking at swapping batteries out every hour or two. Some people are happy with them. Mine is collecting dust. It was a constant, all-day project making sure there was at least one battery charging so I'd be ready to swap when the current one died. It's very nice just putting one on the charger before bed and not having to worry about it all day.

(And honestly, I can't tell any difference between the "Good" 808 I bought from a site mentioned above and the "el-cheapo" 808 I bought at the gas station down the street.)

In the end it's your call, but I would strongly encourage you to not view pre-filled cartos as being as big an advantage as you do. As I laid out above, $30 vs $270 for the same amount of juice, well... Pre-filled don't add THAT much convenience.

I agree with the people above. i started out with a 901 auto with a 2.5 atomizer and very quickly learned that it was just not enuff and had to move up to an ego with a LR atmoizer. with deals you can get on bulk 2.5 and 1.5 510 and 306 atomizers the ego now would be my first choice to start out with. it would have saved me money and the time.
