My friend had the same argument. Then we did the math. You have more control over wattage with .1 volt increments. On his mvp he gets .9 more watts at his coil qith 5v than pushing its 11 watt limit. Food for thought. I NEVER use vw when I have vv.
But if you have VV/VW you have both and one is for free. I'm very happy with .5W increments. Not everyone is.

Typical lengths I get on sigelei V3 Telescopic with different batteries. Just an estimate depending on how tight I compress the spring. The sigelei Zmax Mini (non-telescopic) uses a 18350 and is the same length as Telescopic V3 or V5 in the 18350 mode: 100mm.

18350: 100mm with short cap, 105mm with long cap.
18490: 111-114mm with either cap, spring 1/2 compressed.
18500: 112-115mm with either cap, spring 1/2 compressed.
18650: 127-130mm with either cap, spring 1/2 compressed.

I love the Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3 and V5. But I can understand someone not wanting a telescopic tube as they require some extra care in adjustment and maintenance. The Sigelei Zmax V2 is still in production and has the same performance specs as the V3 and V5 with a standard tube. I don't know if later production V2s have the V3/5 removable top cap, though.

Its not the maintenance that's a problem, i just hate the look. Like box mods, hate em.

In love with my SVD. It's telescoping but is that really a problem?

For me it is , can't stand the look.

you can get a zmax mini and extension tube...

Yo.... I like it.... is SMOKtech a good brand tho?

The SVD is a lot longer than the Sigelei and doesn't do anything more.

True, But its another telescope

Choosing between similar models from Smok or Sigelei? The basic Zmax technology was developed first by Smok and I guess Sigelei licensed it from them. I think Vamo uses it too. Sigelei and Smok are different companies with their own production facilities. Sigelei features better design, build quality, better machining, better QC and their own firmware. I'm a little biased by my own experience with both. I love Smok cartos, though.

I would get the Sigelei like you said but apparently smoketech is the only one who has the battery extender piece.
