Dam you don't waste any time lol, thanks for the pics bud;-) so way better than the peerless? And smoother? That will help me sleep better tonight? As good as the Druga? Better? Same? Is it easier building on the icon compared to the Druga?

Druga is very easy to build on if you use big fat coils with fat legs. (im talking 3.5mm+) Don't get me wrong! The iCON is very easy to build on. Much smoother airflow than the Peerless. I really want to say that flavor is slightly better on the Druga, but not by much.

It's The Mask RDA by Timesvape in 30mm with squonking ability. You can message Timesvape on their website, but they have a 10 pc order minimum, and a sample rda will set you back a chunk of change shipped. :) I got in on a mass order through a friend.
Does he have another one he might part with?

Thanks for getting back to me bud,ya I have the black cap on it now,am running 3 mm alien coils using demon killer wire,6 wraps and it's coming in at .27 .28 hitting them at 56 watts,I tried moving the coils up so that the bottom of the coils are just a air above the bottom holes on the air flow,it helped out just a touch but not much,am running the exact build on my Gaia and it's smooth,I just ordered the icon and if I still have the same issues I guess my skill level is just not high enough for drippers,or am just too picky when it comes to air flow being smooth on drippers,I decided to go with the icon instead of the Druga cause it looks a little easier to build on,plus it comes with more stuff like extra screws, you'll gets yours before I get mine am sure, you'll have to let me know how you're making out with it,at least am not alone thinking the peerless isn't that smooth lol, thanks again for the pointers I'll keep plugging along to see if I can get it to vape smoother but it ain't looking promising lol;-)
Hey Frank
So your comment and questions have me a bit troubled. If you are rebuilding drippers and getting the coils to glow evenly from the inside I think your skill level is perfectly fine for RDAS. A couple questions when you say turbulent and harsh. Do you mean the air sounds loud and annoying and the pull or hit your taking the air doesn't feel smooth going through your RDA...? Or do you mean harsh like it's hurting your lungs and throat ? Or both of these things ? Thank God vaping has reached a point to where you do not need to settle for an unsatisfying vape.
I have a few ideas. One issue might be your nic level. If something is smooth and good in a tank or rta/RDTA but not in your dripper with similar builds might very well be with a dripper because there is little space between your lungs and your coils in a dripper and your getting more vapor and heat also. So if 6mg is good in a RTA you might need to drop to 3mg in a RDA.

Also turbulence in a dripper like the peerless which I actually find to be fairly swooshy has to be your coil placement, cotton and how open or closed your airflow is.
I have my coils positioned so that with 6 holes open 3 closed you can just see the bottom half of my coil through the airflow so the air is actually kind of coming up under it a bit. I noticed you said you also tried this and it helped a bit. So also check to make sure your cotton is completely out of the way of the airflow and is not blocking any of the airflow.

Another thing you can try was mentioned by another member. You can start systematically closing down your airflow bit by bit and see if this is making it better or worse. If it's making it more harsh you might be getting to much heat from your build and might need more air. If it's making it better then you might suffering from to much air and not enough vapor density. I have found sometimes this will cause me to cough if I am getting very thin vapor it tickles my lungs and causes me to cough.

Also you can try the same with your wattages/voltages try playing with them a bit. A good baseline regardless of the resistance of the build is to set the vape to 3.7 volts. I find this is around the lower end of how much voltage you need for a good vape. If that's not helping start raising it bit by bit.

I know this sounds like a lot but you should really be getting a good satisfying vape. The peerless is a great RDA and my biggest gripes with it are the ......edly tall squonk pin and the quality control on the gold plating on the deck. Yes gold does look cool on some RDAs but people seem to have gold fever which kind of sucks because if it's not done perfectly it starts to chip over time and looks like .... when it does. Not to mention the dangers of inhaling flecks of so called" 24k gold " come in shenzhen enough gold already.

Anyways if you have the peerless you will get a similar experience to the druga and icon and I would only buy those if you have the money and really like a feature of one of them. The flavor and vapor production is a bit better (a tiny bit) in other RDAs but flavor and vapor is going to be more build dependant.

Anyways I hope this helps

WOW,thank you Sooo much sed8 for all this great information,I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out, when I say harsh I just mean the airflow, and yes am using 6 mg nic but try some 3 mg and see if that helps,I always suspected it was an airflow issue but having tried every thing I could think of never really helped,I also thought it was cotton placement or amount of it thru the coils, some say to put it in there as tightly as humanly possible others just snug,sigh:-( but I've never really gave up on drippers and keep plugging along,it's nice to know there's some caring souls out there like yourself and Mongo that will take the time to help out a frustrated fellow vaper,I will try out some of your pointers and will report back any improvements I experience, wish me luck;-)

6mg isn't THAT strong, but if your juice is also 60VG/40PG or 50/50 at the same time, that will definitely harshen throat hit. Some juices aren't really meant for subohm, and I have a couple myself that I will not use below 1.2ohm. :)
Nah it's not harsh because of nic it's harsh because of the airflow,I've tried playing around with coil positioning but it's done little to improve the smoothness :-/ plus it's not easy to see where your coils are at on the peerless,I think it's much easier to see your coil on the Druga( which I just ordered) you like it too much for me not to give it a shot, are you putting you're coils on the Druga slightly above the airflow ? By that I mean the bottom of the coils so air can slightly get underneath it? Same thing on the icon ? It was really cool do sed8 to take the time to provide me with all that info;-)

My coils on the icon are centered with the airflow slots...the air is directed directly at them. Identical on the druga...and I see is coil when I look into the airflow. You can try to space your coils slightly especially if you decide to use stainless steel (it really helps with flavor) and if you use temperature control, it gives better overall resistance and temp readings spaced vs contact. Can you post a picture of your coils in the peerless?
