I've only been vaping for about two-months... Earlier this week was the first time I traveled being analog free. Awesome, I'm in the airport on a layover and can vape out. I was very surprised how many people actually came up to me and told me not to smoke. And it wasn't friendly either... it was rude and sometimes obnoxious.

I even had a few people (after explaining it) go to security. Of course there's nothing security can do, but was shocked that so many people are so freakin' angry. I had people move away from me (not a bad thing), even though there was no foul odor.

As with any situation, I did have some good experiences. While waiting at a bar, a guy next to me was obviously distraught. He saw me vaping and asked me about it. He began to tell me his sister passed away and was traveling to go to her funeral. He is a two pack a day smoker, and said that he's dying for a smoke. At the airport I was at, there was no smoking sections after you went through security... I was using my ego-T (type B LR) and had an unopened tank... I filled it with some Tiger Blood juice (yum) and let him try it... He was so impressed, that he went on his iPad and ordered a kit with juice and all...

Anyway, thought I'd share my good and bad experiences with vaping in an airport... Anyone have anything similar happen?

Thats great you turned a stranger onto vaping!!

With the airport, like anything else, people will be turned off to seeing "smoke". Even though your not smoking and it doesnt smell people will still complain. Like Ive heard other people say, People either understand vaping, or they dont..at all.
Someone will always complain when given a chance to

I normally try to not vape blatantly when around alot a lot of people to just avoid the unnecessary complaints.

Its alittle annoying, but its also annoying to have people keep telling you you cant smoke. And normally even if you explain it, the people that told you you cant smoke dont want to hear it and tune you out completely.

Stealth vaping normally helps keep the complaints down some
