Drastic flavor difference between flavor bar carto and tank... What gives?

Bought a house brand at a brick and mortar that had a light blue Hawaiian snow cone like flavor. Filled my nautilus and holy poo batman this crap taste like air fresher spray. What gives? Maybe I should be asking the DIY guys how to salvage this. The flavor bar was all cartos any chance the difference in topper tech accounts for the flavor variance or is it just poor quality control on the mix?

the topper may have helped a little. i don't think it's your issue, though. it's highly likely they had properly steeped what you tasted at the flavor bar and what you bought isn't finished steeping quite yet.

So just leave it in the fridge for a few days and revisit?

No, put it in a dark place at ROOM Temp for a while - cool temperatures slow molecular movement and slow steeping. Different toppers will also effect the end result.
I have proven this with the exact same e-liquid poured from the same bottle on the same day into a Kayfun Lite and a ProtankII. Totally different taste.

Also understand a larger bottle of e-liquid will take considerably longer to steep than a small bottle.

I've found that many of the samples at B&M's are 0mg of nic. The more that is added the more the flavor changes

Next time you try samples ask the vendor what mg of nicotine is being used
