e-cig carts are 2.45 dollars for five.. that works out at 500 dollars per litre for the classic type.. still a nice profit at that.. the mini cart holding half as much works out at 1000 dollars per litre..

e-cig pipe carts in a very fancy package indeed.. similar to the ruyan package.. hold two ml and now come at $3.95 for a box of five.. that works out at 200 dollars per litre..

basically we are talking twenty times as much for something that comes in an inferior package..

as for service.. being robbed by a gangster with a nice smile is still being robbed..

e-cig are also the only dudes honest enough to come up with an expected product life for a pipe.. they say in normal use they expect one to last three to six months.. true or not they have at least answered my "how many puffs per atomizer" question..

i assume my use is heavy use not normal use and will use 1.5 to 3 months..

their three year extended guarantee tells me in a round about way every time i buy fifty carts i get a free (failed) electronic part.. which pretty much says they make their money on consumables and are happy to keep bunging me free atomizer every so often.. i might try and hold them to this but then agin i might not.. a 14 dollar atomizer every month or so aint gonna bother me too much..

I've got the most basic question of all: Who makes the liquid and the carts, and from what tobacco? I've not tested it all, of course, only E-Cig's and the carts that came with two other devices. Most here think there are few original device manufacturers, but might there be even fewer liquid/cart makers? I put up the link in another thread showing that E-Cig's carts are made in Cuba and sent to China. If that's the case for other brands, we are in Big Trouble when the U.S.'s Uncle Sam finds out these violate the Cuban trade embargo.

The eye-opening Cuban connection discovery gave even greater importance to DIY liquid.

On the 'NJOY carts are a rip-off' debate, it's hard to disagree. I just got an NJOY pen-style (held up at customs, 30 quid to spring it, 8 of which was a release fee AAAARGGGHHHH!!!!!!)

Anyway, the point I was going to make is, price apart, it's the best taste I've had so far, from a stable of Sedansa, Janty and a generic pen-style from Pillbox (The one with 'Electronic Cigarette' in fancy script on the brown veined box). I don't think NJOY's carts are quite worth 5 times as much, but they do taste goooood (and let's face it, it's still way cheaper for me than tobacco cigarettes). Haven't tried dripping yet.

Couple of fleeting points:

I can't tell the NJOY from the Generic pen-style. No joke. I bought four spare atomisers and batteries from Pillbox and now my e-cig box is full of clones. I ended up writing 'N' on the NJOY atomiser and batteries cos I was so paranoid about losing them. Haven't made my mind up yet if it smokes any better, but I'm going to try an NJOY cart in the 'economy' model.

Anybody notice how slippery the NJOY is? I've dropped the thing half a dozen times already (popped an LED from one of the batts). So far it can take a licking and keep on ticking. Sucker jumped right out of my hand and nearly buried itself at sea (in the bathroom).

Is it safe to wash the NJOY atomiser? Got a manky taste out of it today, but it was billowing clouds. Sure enough there was a chunk of cartridge wool around the base. Picked it out with tweezers but the taste remains (getting weaker though).

Heh - I don't need to pay through the nose before I think it's good, but we might as well get used to NJOY prices. They'll probably look cheap once the gov slaps a tax on us. Their cut from a pack of 20 fags is about 77%, or £4.30ish. They're getting nothing from us except a VAT bite if the supplier is outside the EU (we've both been there, right?). I do not expect this situation to last...

its funny really but long before the health thing came up quiting simply because of the high cost of UK tobacco was on lots of peoples minds.. it was mine..

i have been a Belgium rolling tobacco guy for many years.. even if i have to go there myself to buy the bloody stuff i wont pay UK prices..

neither will i pay njoy cart prices.. a rip-off is rip-off no matters who is doing the ripping.. he he
