Yep, its a common issue with newer pro tank 2s. The way the PT flush mounts to the provari it seals off airflow. I rocked the wobbly tank for a bit then found that sun-vapers.com sells the aerotank base, and it will work with the PT2 heads and tank no problem. 5.95 plus shipping solved the problem since the aerotank base draws air from the side and not the bottom.

Got mine in yesterday and I am happy as a clam.

Mine fits perfectly - threads all the way down, and works as it should!
The thing is though, it's POSSIBLE that they're not 100% consistent, just because that's the whole problem with ProTanks in the FIRST place. I have a couple ProTanks that thread all the way down on a ProVari, and still have airflow...and I have one that doesn't. ProVape says the airhole location isn't consistent - and I think the length of the 510 threading may vary a bit too.

Still - I got one of these Aerotank bases, and it's everything I hoped it would be. And cheaper than I thought it would be, too!

Does the Aero tank base not sit flush to the Provari? I will be getting a few bases if the airflow device sits flush?

Mine seems to fit right too. I did notice that if I screwed the head in tight it would throw an e1 code because the rubber insulator would become deformed, so just watch for that. The base it's self screws in perfectly and there is the slightest bit of light between the aerotank base and the provari.

I have a Protank 2 also. If I screw it down enough to be stable then I get no air. I cut a shim out of an old credit card and put it on the 510 connector. Enough air now but it doesn't fire. After cleaning the flooded topper out I pulled the positive pin out a little bit and it worked. Then the positive pin worked its way back up and caused flooding again. No longer wishing to become annoyed I put the PT 2 in the emergency box. I presume the 510 connector was installed too deeply into the base when it was assembled. I'll pick up a new base sometime in the future when put in my next vape order.....but I'm not going to buy anything else from Kanger for awhile!

Honestly, no - but I did notice more vapor.
I'm thinking, maybe it's just that your flavor has more AIR mixed in now - so it's, in a sense, diluted?

So my bases came in the mail today... they do work as advertised... one thing though, it seems like I have to kick the voltage up a bit higher to get the same flavor I was before... anyone else notice this?

When first I tried my protank I got 0 airflow I could unscrew it a bit and it would work kind of. Tried it a different device and same issue... replaced the head and now no problems. I did note that the first head I installed, the one i got no airflow when attached to a device but when not attached had a tight draw, had a short stem (knurled piece that fits into the air tube). The new one had a longer stem. Mot sure if that really has anything to do with it working better or mot. Just know it works great now.

I used a protank 2 for about a week before relegating it to the drawer of unused junk. I had great success with the mini protanks on my itaste vv 3, rebuilt my own heads, but could never get the full size protank 2 to work right on the provari. Then I made the jump to carto tanks and a Russian 91. May get an aero tank base after reading these recommendations though. One can never have too many quality juice delivery devices!

Plus one on the R91(no sillyness intended lol). I used my Protank that came with my Provari for about 3 days, and hated the draw. Some heads were ok, but most out of the package had no air flow. It was because of the center pin insulator on the heads themselves. I had to trim down the insulator on the edges because when attatched to my Provari, it (the insulator) would squish and expand, cutting off the airflow from the airholes at the top of the threaded section at the bottom of the Protank. Once I trimmed them down, they worked ok, but I got tired of doing that. I bought a Prometheus clone RTA to try coil building, loved it and the flavor and vape, then bought a Russian 91% and haven't looked back!!
