Dreaded Loose Board issue

Well it happened, went to clean my contacts and noticed my board is wiggling in the tube. Doesn't seem to affect performance outside of a bit of rattle. Are there any downsides to not repairing this right away?

Personally, I would like to wait until v3 is released, pick one up, then send this one back for repair.

Seems like the last time it decided to roll off my desk it did some damage. Stupid Gravity, all constant and stuff.

Disagree, it still works perfectly, and its still consistent without voltage drop, why would I want a mech? If it didn't work at all I might agree with you, but then I would probably have a cheap chinese product, because we all know provari's are typically rock solid.

Pop the top off, slide the board out and put a small piece of tape over the cut channels inside the tube to make things snug again. Ive used regular scotch tape to electrical tape on various provaris to fix the issue. Obviously you use to much and the tape will fold over when trying to slide the board back in. Then hot glue the top after you silde it back through. Should be good as new.
Or just ship it back to them.

Thats a pretty genius idea. Next appt I will see if I can coerce them to do it, in the mean time, it seems v3 is in fact imminent, and should they coerce me to part with my money, as soon as its in my grubby hands my trusty v2.5 will take a little vacation back home to visit its parents, uppon its return, it will probably be gifted to my wife.

I just got a ProVari repaired for the same reason. It has been that way since I got it used last October. It just wouldn't fire once in awhile. It takes about a week round trip to get it fixed.

And, get a Tatroe Base from CigTechs.

Me too, I am one of those few that had to send mine back due to a no fire no power up issue when brand new. A tinfoil shim made mine power up and fire just fine. Provape stated that it needed a board adjustment. Since serviced all is good...edit...
