Here's another custom job just finished. This was a request to match an orange Akuma I had done previously. I think it's pretty darn close.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday! I know I enjoyed a day and a half of doing nothing but hanging with my family.
Now back to it. I have a plan I'm going to fill you all in on. My shop has grown, and so has my little toddler boy, so I will need to get my shop out of the house ASAP. Patina uses some products I don't want my son anywhere close to. For the next month or two I am going to back off on releasing many new items into circulation. I have a few pieces to finish up and post, but otherwise I will only be fulfilling custom orders during this time. I am going to be turning my garage into a proper, insulated workshop. There's a lot to it, including new storage for the items already in there.
I am also going to be switching to a new clear coating system. It will be an air pressure based gun using the same coatings used on commercial aircraft, so I expect it will be more durable than what I have used thus far and therefore, a superior product. It is a very different delivery system than that which I have used in the past, so there will be a bit of time dedicated to learning, practicing, and testing this new system.
My goal is to be back up and running, with increased bandwidth, within a couple months. I look forward to several new and exciting possibilities with Dready's mod Spa as well once we get the next chapter set in motion. I'm looking into cerakote, hydrodip, and other finishing processes that can expand the possibilities, but also allow for us to cosmetically modify our SS gear too
That said, I am still here like I always am and can help those of you with patinas maintain or repair them, I will take new custom orders as well, but there will not be nearly as many new items posted for sale during this time. If there is something you would like, by all means send me a message and we can make it happen. It's been a great 2014, I didn't think when it started we would be here, together, now like this. We're up and running, have a website, but there is much to do to get to the next level. That's my focus for this season.
I will also be adding some written files to the blog section of my website about patinas and their maintenance. I've corresponded with some of you as to how your pieces hold up, get cleaned, etc., but would love to hear from more of you, if you would like to send me a PM with questions, concerns, and whatnot I can be sure to address in these files.

How old is your son Mark?
I started my business when my son was 2nd grade and my daughter was barely walking, and I was also a stay-at-home dad / house-husband. Now my son is in college and my daughter just got her driver's license.
My son turns 2 next month. I'm so glad I get to spend my days with him and have my own little shop at home. 2014 was good to me
