what kind of drill bit are you guys using for mod making? looking for a cone shape (13 holes) drill bit. cant find one for under $15. i went to sears and they were selling it for $30.
depends what you're drilling into, I use a 8.3 mm drill bit from home depot, I have to use a dremel for a bit to get it the right size for a 510 or 901. The step bits are tuff because
of the standard size steps they have, 3/8" is to big for a press fit, and 1/4" is way to small. If you want cheap step bits check harbor freight.
ddy, go to Harbor Freight. They have the uni-bits you are looking for. The come in 3 different sizes to a pack, for around $10.00. Definitely worth it.
thanks for the advice guys. looking at harbor freight. i dont have a big enough bit for switches, so i would just enlarge it with an xacto knife. last night the knife slipped and almost cut off my finger...
These are the stepless referred to by me above. They have some advantages of stepped without the disadvantage of choosing the sizes provided on your step bit.
