I just got this tank and the draw is extremely tight, the flavor is non-existant no matter what voltage I set my PV at. I was considering plugging the existing airhole and drilling a small hole at the top of the tank by the coil. Someone else on a different thread suggested it. My problem is, how do you drill a hole into a plastic tank without cracking it? Does the old drill trick of putting a piece of tape on the surface to be drillled work to prevent cracks? What size drill bit would I use? Picture of tank:

Thanks, I'm kind of nervous about it. However, I'm getting really frustrated with the tank and I would love it to work since it is my first foray into rebuilables and I can't really afford to get something else just yet... I'll probably put it off until I just can't stand it anymore, lol, then take a chance on doing this.

Why not melt a whole in it with a hot poker
Double or triple up some wire or a paper clip and melt a hole in the tank

Drilling plastic is easy
Sharp bit
Fast drill
Drill slowly will cause the blade of the bit to catch and may crack the plastic
Also don't use a pointed bit
Angle of the blade should be low

Just go slow

But I would melt the hole
